Question about Computers & Internet
The internal port where the charger plugs in came loose from its wires. I need to know where the red and black wire goes
Google it and then click on and include the make/model of the machine and then click on images.

I don't think a wire is the problem as they are soldered to mobo. It is more than likely a power problem. If you go to the hardware tab in device manager and go down to usb root hub>right click and properties then look at the power tab and you will see a 500MA allowance on usage. You can easily go above these if you are using them, so check that they are all active. Also go to control panel>admin tools>services and look down list for 'plug n play' and make sure it is set at automatic and 'universal plug and play' is set at manual

Not that hard to fix if you are careful about taking it apart and re-assembling it. A digital camera is helpful during the dis-assembly to remind you later where everything went. Took me about 2 hours the first time I did one. Just take your time.
When your done, get a CRD (Cable Retention Device) to relieve the strain on the cable and the pin. I use one from this company.

It is Service Manuals of your notebook model.

Yes, this is common, if the power cord at the connector is flexed continually then the metal fibres in the cord will break due to metal fatigue.
You can cut off the connector away from the break and fit a new connector on the cord, make sure the the wires are soldered correctly to provide the correct polarity at the connector.
The problem could be at the laptop where the connector plugs into the laptop's power socket. It could have a dry solder joint or the socket is faulty. This requires dismantling to repair.
The HP warranty would cover the normal warranty period and would not extended for worn parts.

unfortunately you will have to open up the notebook, take out the hdd, optical drive, wlan card, ram card(s), motherboard, and under the mb, there will be your charger port. Recomandation: Don't try to fix it yourself, UNLESS you know what you are doing. If you don't just go to the local repair shop.
