Question about Timex Watches
Posted by Anonymous on
The timer is an automatic function that occurs when using the heart monitor. It indicates how long the activity is occurring, and does not work like a normal watch timing function. It receives signals from the heart monitor and tracks how long the signals have been received.

Maybe the battery is weak? Does it have a light? If the battery is failing then the light will be weak or wont work at all. You can check
www.timex.com for your watch, they might have a downloadable manual.

Not getting any help as promised; just hits to make me pay money. Please cease & desist. I want no further mail from you. I thought it was a friendly chat line to offer advice. It's not. Go away!

I had this problem. I simply flipped the metal plate on the back 180 degrees.
I noticed on the inside of the metal plate a pad about the size of the battery, and guessed from the other notes that this must perform some kind of insulating function. Furthermore, the writing on the outside of the metal plate was not oriented "up"... that is if I was holding the watch in front of me like I was reading it, the writing on the back plate was upside down. Both of these clues led me to believe that the plate had been re-installed wrong. Flipping it around fixed (restored) the beep.
