SOURCE: wont charge or is locked

if you plug the charger in and you can see the battery bars going up and down then it is phone problem if the scrren is blank then it is either the charger but if you have a car charger aswell and both chargers worked before then it is probably the phone that has a problem check where the charger plugs in that their is nothing blocking the terminals like fluff or bit of paper check that none of the terminals are bent or coroded if you have used phone in rain they might have got coroded this can be solved by cleaning the terminals on the charging part of the phone but be carefull when you do this not to wreck any thing check the charger make sure nothing bent or blocking the charge the problem with these phone is the pins on the bottom where the charger plugs in these get damaged really easily and they can be replaced but will have to take to phone shop and get repaired hope this is some help to you....................................

SOURCE: phone got wet and now unable to power on.

Most likely the water renered it useless for a while. Try drying it out more, DO NOT HEAT IT, or spray it at all. If you have a techy friend who would give it a shot, they could open up the phone and try cleaning away the corrosion that that water damage caused with contact spray or rubbing alchohol and a soft bristle toothbursh.

Hello,

The problem is a software problem.

All you have to do is to flash the phone with the appropriate software and cable.

The phone will be in good condition again.

Control button locked. when I turn ooff PC the sleep light will not turn off.

Typically, the computer is defaulted to stay turned off after an electrical outage. To start the computer from scratch again, hold the power button in for several seconds. If it powers off, wait a minute, then hold the button in again to start it. When the screen comes up that says it didn't shut down properly, choose Safe Mode without networking. It will look like it is hanging on several files, normal, let it go. The screen & icons will be large because it is in default VGA mode. Once it stops loading, go to the Start Button & choose Restart. Things will return to your chosen default settings and most things will work again providing you have an EMI/RFI Surge Protector power strip that everything was plugged into. I have had several fail after a power surge, they are supposed to. Some have insurance should you have electrical damage after a power surge that got beyond the strip. Ultimately, $15-$50 is cheaper than your PC &/or monitors damaged by not having one, they are designed to be the Sacrificial Lamb & be the cheap breaking point.

As an added note, people confuse Sleep Mode with Hibernate Mode. Sleep mode means anything you are working on gets suspended into your available memory while it goes into Power Saving mode. On a power loss, all will be lost, save regularly if you use this mode.

Hibernate uses a space on your hard drive to write the information. Power loss, nothing is lost and on waking up or powering back on, your data will still be where you left off, usually intact. To restore from either mode without electrical loss, hit the ESC key. Exceptions will occur if you use Hibernate mode but only have a power strip for your multiple plugs. A power surge can still damage your computer because it wasn't blocked by the EMI/RFI power strip.

How do you know which one you have ? If you only have an On/Off power switch, you have an unprotected power strip. If you have a button on the side of that switch, known as a Reset Switch, you have a protecting one. Even if the Reset Button doesn't restore the power strip, it gave it's blife to protect your computer equipment. Cheap insurance.

Good luck.

Phone will not turn on Intermec CN3

sounds although the unit has been dropped and the power connection between the battery, the back up battery and the rest of the unit has been severed. Or it could be a CPU failure - If you need assistance with this please contact jack@codeo.co.uk

The writeing is backwords

Take the battery out, hold the power button down for 15 seconds, put the battery back in and turn the phone back on, it should correct it self if not there may be an issue with the flex strip that connects the screen to the phone. If this is the case u would need to take it to your service provider, they may be able to fix it.

Blank screens on LG Lotus Cell phone

a few things to take into account, have you dropped it? has it ever been exposed to liquid? of no on both try to take the battery out hold the power button for a few seconds put the battery back in and turn the phone back on if it turns on just a software issue. If not or you said yes to the first 2 questions its possible there is damage to the phone, there is a flex strip that connects the phone to the screen if it gets wet it corrodes and if u drop the phone sometimes it comes unpluged. the flex strip coming unpluged is the most common issue with this phone generaly from over extention of the hinge. I cant get my mda to turn on i hold down the power button for a while but it wont turn on i charged it for 3 days and it still wont work what should i do?

Mda Vario's don't charge when turned off, heres what you do.
cut wire off a usb lead the small end strip the red and black wires, put the red wire onto the posative connection where the battery is it tells you what side is posative and negative on the battery, use black with negative and red with posative making sure that no wires touch the other metal strips in the phone, replace battery plug usb into computer and start up the mda and wait for it to boot. once turned on leave to charge as it will charge through the wires connected to the battery, after 10 to 15 minutes plug in the actuall charger and try to remove usb wires without taking battery out. if that is not possable it is ok as the battery should have enough power to start up once it starts leave to charge and always keep some charge in the phone.

Machine does not maintain correct date and time.

Are you powering it off by the power button on the unit? is the power button a rocker switch or a simple button? also are you powering it off by a power strip? Most electronic devices have a clock circuit that is powered from a battery when the unit is off. usually with modern electronics the power never completely goes off so the clock will stay functioning with less battery. Basically you either have a simple internal battery issue or a failing logic board. Try not using a power strip to power the unit off or take it in to be serviced by a qualified technician that has access to the parts needed.
