Can a scratch be removed on the drum that gives a black line on the print. While cleaning the machine something touch the drum and created a line. TOSHIBA STUDIO 160

Hello
Unfortunately the scratch on the drum cannot be removed, as the drum is a organic material.
The drum and drum cleaning blade will have to be replaced.

Inherited Konica 7145 left by last tenant. Powered it up and I get the message F-26-1 Please call Service. (Not sure if this is why they left it behind). Any clue how to resolve this, so I can see if this...

Hello, Paul.

That error code indicates that there is toner/starter spilled onto a sensor near the drum. It might just need to be cleaned. This sensor monitors the drums ability to develop a image.

If the cleaning does not work, it might be a sensor or the drum. The drum needs to be removed to clean the sensors.

Drums are prices around $200 (USD). Various sensors are prices $30 - 180 (USD), depending on which one you need.

Hope this helps.

Cp error code in toshiba

Hi,
the error code CP indicates that the Main Motor is locked,

**** do not try any of this while the power is plugged in****
****Do Not touch the surface of the drum and do not leave it exposed to light****

Try:
  • opening up the copier and look to see if the fuser unit (under the red cover) is not melted together.
  • if you know how remove the drum and developer unit. (please ask if you need instructions on this) check that everything in there turns freely.
Please let me know if this helps or if you need further help / any parts for this model.

NEW DRUM

joe, to replace the drum, you need to remove the cover from the front of the drum unit it has three locking tabs, one removed, take main charger/grid unit out, located on the top of drum unit, two screws one on each end. the drum is held in with a cam lock shaft located on the front of the drum unit, turn it couter clockwise, your drum can now be removed,it's recomended that you replace the cleaning blade also, two scews. you'll have to coat the new drum with toner and manually turn it against the new cleanig blade,if you dont the blade may flip and ruin your new drum.reassemble
