SOURCE: Sony Bravia KDL52XBR5 picture blanks out using HDMI port

I think this has to do with the cable box not liking the encryption thing going on with the sony tv. The cable boxes probably don't understand it fully and therefore you have intermittant problems. I would just use component inputs. Which are analog and no encryption problems. I hope this was helpful. I bet it doesn't happen using a sony DVD Player or a blue ray DVD Player either. Sony, Sony, Sony.....Good stuff...but they have their moments. Let me know if u come up with a fix for this and then i will post it on my fix it list.. Thank you again..GURU JAY

SOURCE: Green Screen

Hi, how is the cable box hooked up to the TV? Is it HDMI cable or componet (red/green/blue) ? When you say totally green, do you mean the the picture is only green with the other colors missing or every color looks green ?

I had the same problem....turned out it was the "lvds" cable that runs from the mainboard to the lcd controller board. Simply remove the tape that holds it to the back of the backlight housing and also remove the foil shielding tape from the connector on the lcd controller board.

SOURCE: Toshiba 32AV500U HDMI issues

The Toshiba 32AV500U cannot display 1080p. Hook up your PS3 to your computer monitor, provided that it can display 1080p, or some other TV that can, then change your Video Output settings under Settings> Display Settings and uncheck 1080p, which will allow the PS3 to display in 1080i. Once you do that, then hook up the Toshiba via HDMI and it will work with no problem.

The hdmi port of my vizio e231-b1 smart tv is not working. It displays either "No Signal" or "Not Support!" How can I fix this?

That message tends to result from a bad connection (perhaps the hdmi plug in the tv) or a source that does not comply with hdmi standards. This can often be the case when using a computer or gaming device for the signal source. Find a known good signal source and test, then if you still don't get a picture, switch the cable to hdmi 2 and try that one. Ports can go bad or wear out or get debris in them. Good luck.

you may need to change the HDMI board in the tv. it will be the hole board the parts are just to small to replace them all to get the HDMI board working again. find a second hand replacement. should be fine with another known working one.

How do you connect vizio dvd to insignia tv. We r using hdmi cable and NOTHING is happening

If you are using an HDMI cable that is all you need, HDMI is capable of transmitting video and audio to your TV. So the only thing to do now is to get your tv to switch to the DVD player from its normal TV signal. On your TV's remote control you should see a button called 'input' pressing this will bring up a menu of all the possible forms of input on your tv, most modern tvs will have at least 3-4, there may even be several HDMI inputs, the one you need should be labeled on the back of the tv or wherever you plugged it in, but the easiest way to figure out which it is, is to start a dvd playing, then cycle through the available inputs by pressing the input button on your tv's remote repeatedly until you see the picture on screen. (give each a few seconds before switching to the next, as some tv's do have a slight delay before displaying the image). Then make a note of which of the HDMI ports it is for future use.
Hope this was helpful.

Normally you need to switch the video output to the 15 pin video port by pressing and hold the FN button and then press the one of the Function keys that has screen symbol on the key.
This will toggle the video out put between the notebook's LCD screen and the video output port.

Is the HDMI port 2 work? Try to turn it off and turn it back on. If it is still not working then the HDMI ports have gone bad. You will need to replace the main board.
