My 2004 3400 closed system ,runs hot in town unless heater is on. driving up a mountain pass it gets very hot.on a flat highway runs normal. new t state, resivior cap, both fans work no leaks or smell

Radiator fan motor or radiator fan thermostat defective/

Also there is a relay that operates the fan motor

In town not enough air passing through radiator allowing it to over temp.. With heater fan running acts like cooling fan keeping engine cool

Highway driving ample air passing through radiator without fan.

Hill climbing requires cooling fan/

Hope this helps?

Why would my TRANE XE1000 outside unit compressor keep running after the house has reached the desired temp and the contactor has popped out and the fan stopped? THe problem started when the unit...

a contacter can be bad even if it is open, power still could pass through it bacause it is stuck down, breakers are the same way thay could be in off position but power pass through them always check with meter first, this happens because of heat that fuses the switch together . , parts go bad for many reason fatigue is just one of many.

Does not cool, cleaned coils, eveporator has frost, lights dim frquently in trailer, is this the compressor not running.

If the evaporator has frost on it, the compressor is running. The problem is, when there is frost or ice on the coil the air cannot pass through the coil, and therefore you have maybe some or no cold air. First, you will need to make sure the evap. is thawed out completely. You will probably have to turn the unit off for a couple of hours. When it is thawed, turn it back on. You are probably low on refrigerant. If you have the proper tools and a set of guages, you can do this your self . If not it's best to take it to a technician so they can check the refrigerant level. Hope this helps you.

I have a husky impact wrench, set at 100psi, but all that happens when i squeeze the trigger is air comes out of three vents on the bottom of the wrench, just adjacent to the imput hose. Is there something...

get some air tool oil and put it in the hose connection and manually turn the socket end by hand, the air vanes have frozen in place and can't hold the air in to operate the unit, make sure when you do this squeeze thge trigger to let the oil into the units barrel, then connect to an air supply and try it,you may need to help get it started by hand, then let it run and add some more air tool oil again to keep it lubed

My coleman Mach Rv air conditioner with built in heat strip keeps tripping it's internal circuit breaker when running for any length of time. Just replaced heat strip with new one experienced same issue. I...

There should be an overload protection device in series with the low voltage wiring(t-stat wiring) Is it resting on the heat strip or too close to it? It is a saftey device to shut off the heat strips if the fan quits or a fire in the heat strip section. check that or by pass it, if it stays running then ur thermal protector is bad, couple bucks at the parts house.

HAVE A SSR-XH60 SCREW COMPRESSOR WITH 39180419 INTELLISYS CONTROL KIT AND IT SHOWS "STARTER FAULT" WHAT THIS MESSAGE MEANS?

The motor starter overload auxiliary contact is wired into the intellisys control unit. If the motor would overload, then the thermal overloads in the motor starter will trip. When this occurs you will get that message. The overloads are in the electric panel on the left side. You will have to remove the screws to gain access. Be sure to have disconnect off when removing cover. There is a reset button on the motor starter you can press to reset. Now the question is why did it trip? There are a few common possibilities. On is dirt in the coil not allowing enough air to pass over the motor. Slipping belt generating too much heat. Old or low oil causing high temperatures. Pressure setting set higher than unit is designed. You can set pressure on the intellisys. Another reason is short cycling. If you have this set for start stop operation by pressure, the minimum run time should be at least 10 min, and I believe mfg recommends even longer. If it starts and stops too frequently, the motor will overheat.I hope this helps. (I maintain a very similar unit where I work) These units are usually very trouble free units if you keep the oil, oil filter, air filter, and separator changed as recommended.
