One of two things a short in the wires or a bad circuit board.. I've address the same problem twice in the last week and it was the board.

The sensor eye - or more likely, the other end, the sensor light - probably got knocked out of alignment. The eye should have an LED on it - possibly one that glows green when it's ready to close or red when it's obstructed or out of alignment. Try adjusting the light until the LED on the receiver glows green.

SOURCE: The garage door wall remote flashes and car remote won't work

Usually this can be corrected by programming the opener. Locate the smart/learn button on the back of the opener. It is just to the left of all those white wires. Hold the button down on your remote and then press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote you have.

The light by the learn button may be sending a diagnostic code. See if it is flashing a number of times, pausing and then repeating. Count the flashes. Is your door stuck in the open posititon?

I have a Sears Craftsman opener that will not open with the wireless keypad but it will close with it, and all other remotes and wall mount work fine.

First thing make sure the battery in the keypad is good. If this is not the case then your keypad is losing signal strength and will need to be replaced.

SECOND TRY TO REPROGRAM THE REMOTES TO THE UNIT - THEY WILL SOMETIMES LOSE MEMORY IN AN ELECTRICAL STORM.

No power to wall mounted door switch need wiring diagram

Wall mounted door opener remote should get power from the main console once that is powered up. If you have wired correctly onto to the wall mounted unite and onto the main console and upon powering up the main console there is still no "life" on the wall mounted unit, I would check if there is actually any current coming it. You can easily do it with volt meter (Harbor Freight tools have a very good one for $7 or so). If no active current, call Chamberlain.

Apparent internal short

Absolutely. You need to pull the board and check for loose connections especially around the small transformer. Some are hard to see and you might need to just touch it up with a small soldering iron.

Wall mount not opening door. Looks like its not getting power.

You may have disturbed the wiring leading to the wall control. It connects to terminals 1 and 2 on the rear of the motor unit. The wires are color coded and must be connected correctly. The solid white wire goes to terminal 2 and the white wire with red tracing goes to terminal 1.
