Question about Miele Dryers

Miele T 659 C condenser tumble dryer not pumping the condensation out

Thank you for taking the time to help me, I have the above dryer, it either outlets to a pipe or to the water tank, but the water is just dribbling out of the exit hole at the back, what part is most likely to be broken please. I assume it would be a pump, but I cannot find a pump on the parts list. Thank you

Moister in the dryer:

This means that the moist air is not escaping correctly and that is why it is taking so long to dry your clothes - if they dry at all.
a good start at cleaning out lint blocked areas, I suggest go to the back of the dryer and take off the vent pipe or hose and check things out with a flashlight. Clean out all the lint and dust you can, even use a vacuum cleaner on it. Make sure the vent pipe is completely clear of any obstructions.Non-rigid ventshas much worse air flow than smooth piping, so you might want to upgrade tosmooth piping.
Once you have all the lint and dust cleaned out of the dryer, go to where the dryer vents outside. Again, clean the area thoroughly. There is usually a trap door that opens when the dryer air is on and closes when it is not operating. It should be completely clear of lint and opening smoothly.
Also, look into the exhaust area on the dryer carefully to see if there is a hole or gap in the dryer's internal air ducting. Without the vent pipe connected and with no clothes in the dryer, start it and let if run for a few seconds and make sure there is strong air flow from the exhaust port. You should feel it strongly on your hand.
Re-connect the vent pipe and start the dryer again. Feel all around the bottom to see if any air is blowing out from under the bottom. This would indicate there is a break or gap in the dryer's internal ducting. If you do feel air, you will need to call a service technician to see if it can be repaired. If your dryer is very old, there could be a rust hole in the duct.
In conclusion Cause ·Poor venting is a common reason why water might leak into a clothes dryer. Since the dryer works to expel moisture, it is important that the dryer's vents are properly installed so that the humidity can escape.
Effect ·If the humidity in the dryer is trapped, it will eventually turn to water. This will lead to poor drying results or longer drying times, depending on the amount of leakage.
Prevention/Solution ·Faulty dryer venting can be prevented by making sure that the humidity is directed outdoors. Also, vents should be cleaned of lint and other debris before each load so that water can readily escape. Taking these precautions can ensure that the moisture will meet dry, open air.

SOURCE: Hoover 381/1 condenser tumble dryer empty water

Got a similar problem with an HNC172. The supplier said it is the water indicator sensor that is not working. He fixed it! It still stops!!! Clear lint from the trap in the door. Empty what little water there is in the tank, then make sure it has a good shove to get it back into place and the tube/catch is well joined back. Also take out the condenser unit above water tank, stick in the bath and put the shower hose through it to clear lint. Recommend getting a tea strainer over the plug hole or you block your drain as quite a bit comes out. It helped for a while, but it still has problems. Might be the thermostat for the heater? check the error codes. They flash a different number of times within 15 seconds to indicate which problem is happening.

Pat, Have you found a solution to this yet? I have got exactly the same fault today ! Having taken the top & left side of the dryer off, I found what looks like a broken drive belt - not the main drum drivebelt which is fine, but a shorter one (about 18cm diameter loop) with no obvious place for it to have come from. Any clues would be appreciated. Dave (drdave@fsmail.net)

No, the float switch activates when the storage tank is full. To confirm this lift the float and you will see the "Empty Water" light come on at the front of the machine.

My miele tumbledrier ModelT560C makes a noise and sometimes trips the mains. The condenser is constantly wet with no fluff .

Hi - you may have a faulty condensate pump or something to do with this part of the unit - the heat exchanger or condensor will have a certain water residue which should draw off to the pump. In some rare cases the in efficient air circulation causes similar issues to what you are experiencing.

I am unsure about the noise as details are vague - there must be an electrical problem/fault which is serious enough to trip the circuit breaker "mains" as you commented.,

it could be fluff blocking or jamming the condensate pump, can you hear the pump running? access to the pump is through a small service panel at the back. it is hard to get the pump out there is a spring latch to releaseit which is hard to find until you know where it is.

Condenser dryer keeps tripping the trip switch.

this is often because water has got into the fan area and is being thrown up on the heater by the fan.
take heater cover off and dry off.
take condensor out. in the space at the back, you will find a hole where condensate runs into pump chamber. this hole maybe blocked.
    otherwise, check operation of pump

    Tumble dryer blower not working

The fan gets stuck because of the build up in the condenser itself. £400 will fix it damn them. I should have bought a Candy. Am sure that there is a service mode that can flush the condenser, because it is fitted as standard on new models. The reset of the micro switch should do it and try to free off the fan manually. Miele should be more forthcoming about this, taking into account the price of the damn thing in the first place.
