Question about Ungo SR6000 2 Way Security with Remote Start Combo System

1 Answer

Car won't start

The key fob is draining the batteries that are being put in it within a day or two. When the battery does die, auto start won't work, but the car won't start, either. When the key is in the ignition and the car is attempted to be started, it doesn't turn on, but the lights on the dashboard blink on and off for a few seconds, then go off by themselves. The vehicle has to be left alone for an hour, even with a new battery before it starts. What is going on?

Car Won't Start?
This procedure usually works:
·Check the battery cable connections:
Make sure the positive cable, makes a good connection at the battery and at the starter. Make sure the negative cable makes a good ground connection at the battery and (preferably) at the engine.

·Check the battery the simple way, like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.

·Check the starter and solenoid:
If the wiring looks ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection, and proper voltage at the starter(10 volts minimum while cranking).
If the starter spins and no crank, the problem is most likely the Solenoid's pinion gear is stuck.
Have someone hit (not too hard) the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging a stuck pinion gear.
·Make a simple test of the alternator:
If you can, somehow get the engine running, measure the voltage at the battery. It should be at least 13.6 volts to properly charge the battery.

Battery completely drained after 45 mins of listening to cd player without car running,

a healthy battery will take a charge and discharge and be o k -you have several things going on-the ticking noise is some kinda rely that is turning on and off probably because of low voltage-the voltage jumping around sound like the alternator is giving up and is not fully charging battery-you may also have a drain on the battery that doesn't stop when you turn the key off like an extra power amp for the radio- you can take your car to autozone or advanced auto and they will check out the charging system for free and tell you what is going on-cheers Denny

I changed my car battery, now my 2008 Nissan Altima key fob won't work

There is a special procedure involved in keying your fob to your car once the battery has been changed. You must lock and open the door with your key. Turn the ignition to "on"(not start) then push the fob's open and close button, then shut off ignition. This procedure is done everything the key battery is changed. Hope this can help you!
