yes its all the burners, would you know if the part i may need is called an FSD, this is what is mentioned in the manual but does not explain what it does, the cooker is about 10 years old. Thank you for your previous comment.

Yes it is a flame sensor device a lot like the old thermal couplers used in the older stoves..
The difference is ones electronic and the older thermal were direct contact with a pilot light.. guess what one costs more :)

If it is happening on all burners then the regulator is probably pooched... this is what allows has to enter the lines but not at too high a pressure

SOURCE: my gas oven flame

the flame failure device( FFD) may have malfunctioned, not allowing full volume of gas through to the burner. This is a safety feature, preventing full gas pressure to the oven straight away.

SOURCE: Gas Oven Flame Constantly on High

I belive that the thermostat to the oven isnt working properly. The t-stat bulb sits inside the oven on the wall and this is what senses the temp in the oven.If its out of place or the t-stat is bad the oven will just keep heating.hope this helps let me know.HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Do the top burners act properly, meaning giving high heat? Are you seeing black soot or just low flames? Low heat all around possible the gas cutoff in the kitchen has been turned down accidently. not an expert but have experienced the same problem with my new gas stove. The valve was almost off.

My stove lights very slow with a low flame. Should the igniter stay on after it lights oven

Yes the ignitor stays on even after the burner is lit. The ignitor is wired in series with the oven valve. It sounds like the oven valve isn't opening all the way. A new ignitor should solve this problem. The old igniter builds up resistance and doesn't let the correct voltage through to the oven valve for it to open properly.

My g70m oven ignites and stays lit but it won't heat up it stays the same all the time

Hi

You have one of these faults:

Faulty FSD (Flame Safeguard Device). When you turn your oven on the FSD lets a small amount of gas through, after about 30-90 seconds the FSD is satisfied and allows more gas to come through......this then moves over to the.......

Oven Thermostat, this will sense the heat from the oven and adjust the temperature accordingly.

If the flame doesn't go high after 60 seconds it's the FSD, if it does but then it goes low and fails to increase then it's the Thermostat.

Either way you need to get a qualified gas engineer to look at it.

I hope this helps
