Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I'm on a mac (Yosemite), and I'm not seeing the job accounting Server for a mac so I need a different way to do it.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Have you tried hiding the Doc in the finder?
Some programs will print VERY slowly s the application icon is showing while printing.
Are you using a Fiery? If so, have you installed the CUPS filter from their website? www.efi.com
The lates Mac OS has totally redone the way they communicate with printers and how they handle security communications.
Start looking in the Mac webpage for fixes or solutions, it is a system based issue from Mac.

Try a Silex SX-2000 print server - these are different from your average because although they can operate as a normal print server (which the Kodak printer driver will not support - its problem is it looks for a directly connected printer) its primary function is as a networked USB sharing device (one at a time of course !)
Printing works great using the "Printing Auto Connect", because each PC/Mac will connect, print, then disconnect automatically (freeing the printer for other users/virtual sessions).
The only drawback I've found (when tested with Vista) is the scanning is hit and miss. "Scan to" works some of the time, Windows "WIA" scanning works most of the time, Kodaks own software doesn't work at all (probably because its cheating and looking directly for the attached USB device).
This is certainly a print solution though and unlike some print servers, it can support more than one device if you have it, using a USB hub (I use mine to TCP/IP print to a Dymo label printer as well)
I tried the Belkin AIO print server first (available in Europe certainly) an OEM version of the Edimax unit but I'd steer clear of this - hardware is nice (smaller than the Silex) but the software is awful, causing many crashes and blue-screens in Windows.

What MAC OS are you using? I don't remember for OS 9 and earlier but if you are using OS X I can help you out. First make sure you are using the latest version of the print driver. When you open a document to print and select the Kyocera printer you will see the print dialog box. You need to look under the printer specific options to find the job accounting. I believe it is under set 2.
Hope this helps.

Sounds like when you added xp you inadvertently installed new print driver on server.
Try rolling back driver. But may drop xp from printing.
Best solution network printer to router bypass server. Will require hard wire from printer to router. disconnect from server may need network card for printer.
