Most probably the capacitors in the power supply have burst. Might need attention by a qualified service technician.

I have an LG tv model # 47LN5750.I have sound no picture. Tv flashes on shows lg logo then goes black , still have sound. Can someone steer me in the right direction as to what part I need.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

Have a LG Tv that has sound but no backlight, can see image with flashlight. When you first power on TV show white screen with LG logo then goes black. Tv is a 55LN5790-ULBUSULJR

Well, you've done the easy part. The unit has sound and picture, but no backlight. The next part is tedious and delicate: dismantle the unit and find the cause. Many times, the problem is cabling or wiring, but once in a while the problem is control related. if the unit is under warranty, have it serviced by an authorized service dealer. If not, it's up to you. The new, flat tv's are super easy to wreck once the case comes off, so unless you really know what you're doing, it is very easy to justify paying a competent professional to repair the unit.

Hello, I have a lg lcd monitor. w1941s model. when I start my computer, it work for sometime. then it goes blank showing only the LG logo. then the power button doesnot work. it hang up glowing. again

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Take it to a repair shop.
