My EMachines tower computer worked great when stored 4 years ago. Now, why won't it turn on at all?

INSTALLED NEW BATTERY ON MOTHER BOARD. NO CHANGE. SMALL LIGHT BULB ILLUMINATES ON BOARD, THAT'S ALL. WHAT CAN GO BAD IN STORAGE?

Msi g41m-p26 won start (no power)

The most likely solution is to replace any Capacitors that have blown in the onboard power circuit. Look for a Capacitor that has got a very bulging top in the region of the power connector.

it is because your nvidia card was broken, it makes the windows won't boot up, try to clean up your nvdia card (yellow circuit which will connect to the pci of the mother board) using a pencil eraser

MY PC RESTARTS WHEN IT SHOWS BIOS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,IT ALSO SPEEDS UP PROCESSOR FAN AND SHUTS DOWN

I'm by far no computer tech, but I'm not a newbie either. I had a similar problem a few years back with my GX280. In order to keep my 1yr old son out of my computer tower, I had hast-fully and unknowing incorrectly installed a new stick of ram. Installed the ram powered the machine back up, "OK son time for bed" By the time I got half way down the hallway I knew something was wrong. I have never smelled boiling or burning bleach before, but thats what grabbed my attention. Immediately I ran back to the computer and literally pulled the power cord from the wall, but it was already to late. The problem... That unknowingly, improperly installed stick of ram was not fully secured by the hold down clips and was slightly raised half in, half out of the slot. The ram stick was hotter than the surface of the sun, yet undamaged. My mother board wasn't so lucky. I powered the machine on again, it beeped at me 4 times 1 long tone 2 short tones and 1 long tone blank monitor and did nothing else. The beeps I thought probably the computer cursing me in its own dll language. I again pushed the power button to reboot. when the computer rebooted, again with the beeping accompanied by the cpu fan exponentially. I didn't and couldn't see the physical damage to the board until I removed the board from the tower itself. I noticed on the underside of the mother board I had burnt a blazing trail from the ram bus slot to the main power slot where the wire harness connects to the board from the power cube. This problem the cpu fan running away with itself can also happen when a component is improperly connected, or not connected at all. Check ALL your CONNECTIONS. If that doesn't work, you might have some sort of hardware problem.

Hope this works for you, or at least helps you out.

Good luck, have a great day, and remember computers are like vehicles you own one and eventually your gonna have a problem.

Emachines problem... PSU works but comp doesnt turn on

Hi, Did you just add the second CD? If you did you may need the driver for the mother board? Make sure the power cord for the cd has voltage plug it into the DVD drive also check the cable make sure red stripe is on the correct side of drive. You can download the driver at http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T-Series&model=T2672 User guide is there as well. The start button has a pair of wires with a small pin connector on it. This will connect to the motherboard if there is a 3 pin set you might try moving to the other pin. The new power supply also has to provide a start voltage? Your power supply may not be compatible or it may put the voltage on the third pin.
