Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

hai, If you are service engineer you can do this problem, Please, check the cassette IN sensing Switch. The place of the Switch is right side of the mechanism, Clean S/w with IPA solution & check. It will be ok or other wise you have replace s/w or mechanism.

SOURCE: Dew Detected

Hi. I've had this problem a few times myself when I was tent camping or outside for a long time.

Remove the battery, and see what happens. If it keeps happening, I let it sit out of the bag for a couple of hours in the car with the battery removed.

I would not suggest hitting the camera.

SOURCE: I just bought a Palmcorder but dont know how to work it

There should be either a USB Cable or a Analog cable which connects from the cam corder to the PC. Depending on the brand it may need software to copy the clips from the camcorder to the pc, or the connection will create a drive letter from which you can copy the clips from the camcorder to your computer.

HOW TO FIX THE TRACKING PROBLEM IN MY PANASONIC PALMCORDER iq

If the camcorder has been sitting unused for a while, there is a good possibility that the capacitors on the PCboards have started to leak. A good test of this is to turn your camcorder on, let it heat up, and then smell it (inside where the tape goes is usually the best place). If you smell fish, your caps are leaking. Once this happens, it is recommended that ALL of the caps be replaced and this repair is not cost effective to do. Another sign of bad caps is if the image in your viewfinder rolls, is wavy, or smeared in any way.
If you think that it is not a "bad cap" problem, the mechanism may just need to be cleaned by a professional. If you have a VHS-C head cleaning tape, you can try that for 5 to 10 seconds and see if it helps. www.austintelstarservices.com

Can the battery charger be connected to the camera for power?

best bet to deal with the battery replacement is to download the manual from panasonic and follow their guides, they usually instruct you on how to install the button batt ery at initial start up as this is what holds the date/time in memory when you are charging the main operating battery. go to the following link and enter your specific camcorder info: http://service.us.panasonic.com/operman/

regarding the power supply. You need 6 volt DC. but you need to know the polarity of the line feeding into the camera and match that from your power source, if you have the polarity backwards, you can ruin the camera. You can also cause problems if your external supply has too high of an Amperage rating as an excessive amperage can overheat your camera circuits. verify the amp rating of the camera and verify that the VCR dores not exceed that my more than a few amps.
