I am trying to install a ceiling fan and from the ceiling I have a copper white and black wire. Now from the fan itself there is a black blue and white wire. Not sure where to connect the copper wire.

Good question, proper wiring is a crucial virtue that needs to be one hundred percent accurate.

Three wires showing from the ceiling lamp fixture harness, positive, negative, and ground.

The negative wire is the white wire,
The Hot wire (positive) is the wire of brighter color than known negative,
220V AC (alternating current) home wiring to(" duplex outlet switch, GFI switch, single/dual pole light switch, lamp fixtures,") the Hot wire or lead, is normally Black, the lighter color, or White is neutral or neggative,
Neutral wire (completes circuit) allows current flow to continue through to other parts of house, Alternating current.

The Ground wire is usually wrapped in green color, or unmarked copper.

The copper wire from the ceiling will need to be grounded to the metal bracket on the new light fixture, a gold or silver screw, sometimes tagged with green, is the proper grounding location, Any place on Metal not attached to ceiling bracket, Ground should be attached to metal on fan,

White wire from Fan is neutral, Negative.
Black wire from Fan is Hot Wire, Positive,
If Blue wire from Fan is Not Manufacture spliced, Meaning no Copper is exposed, Wire is not used, Blue wire is NOT ground,
If Fan has a light, Voltage from Hot Black wire will supply both light and fan functions,

Safety First.
flip off breaker switch to the room fan is being installed.

Doubble Check
Black^Black wire connection is secure.

White^White neutral wire connection is secure.

Ground is fastened securely to metal or wrapped under a screw.

Using splice caps is recomended, The plastic shell encloses the wire connection ensuring No stray copper is exposed, limits possibility of cross wiring.

Google the brand of fan being installed, and Check wire color code, and wiring diagram, Info good to have, and checking twice will only guarantee Lamp Fixture Install Well Done.

(Blue wire may be there for installing multiple ceiling fixtures in a loop circuit, so all controlled by same light switch.)

Enjoy Your New Fan,

Is there any chance way to check the camshaft position sensor on a 2001 Hyundai sonata?

The connector for cam sensor shows three wires, that should be ref voltage-pink wire, black with white tracer- ground, signal-black wire. The signal wire carries signal to pcm. To check signal, is you have a digital multimeter that has a tach--duty cycle or dwell setting, they should react to a pulse on the signal wire. The ref voltage is 12 volts, probably goes hot with key on. The black wire with white-ground use an led testlight to check ground, should be computer safe.

There are several circuit that use the same 12 volt reference.

Ground Connector "G304" location

Hard to believe the ground would be that far away. I worked on my son's '95 Chrysler sedan, and had to find the power windows ground. It was behind yhe trim of the left kick panel, just below where the bundle of wires from the door entered the cabin. You should check there.
If you have a hot wire at the master switch, you can check the ground right from the master switch. Put positive lead of a voltmeter or testlight on the hot wire (key must be on) and negative lead into the ground terminal for the switch. If the ground is good, meter will show battery voltage or the testlight will light. If the ground is lost, nothing on the meter-The chrysler had a broken ground wire right in the door opening, Maybe you already checked and have no ground...the ground is likely close to where the wires enter the cabin. Good luck.

You can use a double switch, or make a '2-gang box' by adding another switch.
Copy following links for wiring multiple switches inside same box, and wiring double switch.

Here is image showing 120Volt wiring inside main breaker box, so Hot Neutral and ground are clearer.

Hot and ground wire on 2012 prostar international for cb radio

Walmart and Harbor Frieght sells low priced volt meters.. I would get one of those. If your not near my shop. and use it to tell which it positive and which is negative. The other quick way is to - Ground the black cb wire from the radio. straight to the body of the truck. and they try the other white and green to see which ones are positive..

The power cord has a green ground wire; two hot wires, which are black and red; and a white neutral wire. Attach the neutral to the middle connector and the two hot wires to either end of the terminal.
In order to safely ground the machine the green ground wire must be securely connected to the dryer frame. There may be a screw on the frame where you can attach the ground

2001 mitsubishi diamante windshield washer pump has 2 wires running to it...a black w/white stripe and a black. which is hot and which is ground ?

There is a good possibility that NEITHER is "ground' except when the switch is pushed. Many automotive circuits are controlled on the ground side. This allows a single wire to be run to the remote switch. The switch body is attached to ground.
Use a 12V test light: 1) Attach the clip to battery ground, turn key to the run position (but don't start the engine) and probe both wires. If one lights it is constant hot. The other will only be ground when the switch is pressed. 2) Move the clip to battery POSITIVE and probe both wires. The one that lights is GROUND. If neither lights the one that did NOT light in step 1 is switched ground.
If you get a light in both conditions then the pump would run continuously.
You can repeat the above having an assistant hold the switch, one wire should light the light in both the steps. Step one finds the HOT wire, step 2 the ground.

Not for sure which is the hot and which is the ground wire.

Solid black is always ground on aftermarket head units. Red is usually the ignition wire, ie when you turn your car on, your stereo turns on. Hot or positive is usually yellow and usually the biggest wire
