I get hE code....after the dryer has been on for a few minutes? is it the thermistor or the coil? if it is the thermistor where is it in the machine?

HE is abbreviated as Heater Error. It could also mean you have a Restricted vent or your thermistor is fried that you need to replace thermistor. you can bypass the thermistor for test purposes by taping the wires together. it is located on the blower wheel assembly, this is a fire safety feature and should never be operated in the bypassed mode. Safety First, unplug before opening.

here are some generic pictures of opening a dryer. once it is verified that the thermistor is the problem, Untape the wires and replace them

What does f-03 mean?

Hi

Error F03 in Hotpoint washer means that the thermistor is open. When thermistor turns bad it will not let the water to heat or in some cases will boil the water to extreme temperatures. You’ll need to replace the thermistor to resolve this issue. The thermistor is located in the motor control unit. Inspect the element if its open circuit, it should read 1500-1800 ohms on Rx1 on the multimeter, if not then element is bad. To check/replace the element remove the lower rear panel. Hope this helps...

Anyone know what code t0 means? Dryer will start but never finish drying clothes regardless what cycle you're on.

To = Thermistor Open error.

The Thermistor resistance is very high.

Check for:
- Clogged lint screen.
- Restricted vent system.
- Check Thermistor resistance.

Replace themistor if out of range.

Problem is sc541

This is a fusing unit error code. Most likely one or both of the thermistors have failed. The fusing unit is the part that gets hot just before the paper exits the machine. The thermistors are the electronic parts in the fusing unit that monitor the temperature of the unit. This code means that the thermistors are either not "seeing" or reading any heat from the unit or for some reason the heater lamps are not coming on. In most all cases it is the thermistor/s that have gone bad and are not reading heat properly. You will need a service technician to replace these. Should be less than $200 repair.
Good Luck
