Straighten one end of a paperclip and push it in the tiny eject hole located somewhere near the door, usually on the right side. When you slowly push in, make sure it is straight and it should push the gear so that DVD will pop out. This is the same technique used on computers., as well.

There's a DVD stuck in my car DVD player and it won't eject. How do we get it out manually?

There may or may not be a small pin hole in and around the entry point similar to computers where you can push in a wire to eject.

I have a sanyo dvd/vhs player and when you push the eject button to eject the dvd player it won't open. Help!

If you take off the top cover you might find that a drive belt that moves the tray is either off or broken. They are cheap to replace you just need to measure the diameter in MM and then enter "drive belt XXmm" into Google go for the nearest size to your measurement.

LG v181 won't eject - it tries to load even when there is no disc and won't slide out the tray at all.

It's likely a belt that drives the tray has snapped or come off! If you take the top off you might well see it!

While hitting the eject button use a small flat screwdriver or butter knife to ease door open, probably the rubberband like belt broke or the gears jammed up!

My daughter put the blue ray DVD into the Toshiba 14DLV75 instead of the regular DVD and now it won't eject it. It just keeps spinning like it wants to eject, but won't. How can I get it out?

Hello
Just switch OFF the set by its front panel power control switch, and then switch it On and press the eject button without any delay. Sometimes the tray will eject, and try to close. If so switch OFF the front panel power switch, while it is out, and take away the blu-ray disc. the switch it On. All will be ok then.
