Re: Won't suck up the water

This happens when the filter on the inside of the lid for the dirty water tank is pushed all of the way up. You need to leave a 1/4 in. gap from the top to the top of the filter. Or the lid for the dirty water tank is not locked down all the way around.

Hi There, The machine does not actually suck the suds up. Basically the machine lays the foam down which then crystalises and absorbs the dirt in the process. Once this has had around - 4-5 hours to dry then you vacuum up as normal taking the crystalised dirt away. You should really use the Genuine Kirby product as it's very good but you can also you any other DRY FOAM shampoo. Hope this helps Chris

SOURCE: I have a Bissel proheat

I'm not sure if this will help but I had the same problem and was about ready to pull my hair out. I ended up taking the fill tank off and if you look inside where the red overflow flap is you will find a small screened opening. I found that mine was pretty clogged up with debris but once I removed the mess and put my machine back together it is now sucking like a champ. I hope this helps. Here's hoping that you don't have the pay for a service person to look at it.

SOURCE: steam vac won't **** water

check to see if the recovery tank lid is on correctly. if this is not on, the machine will not **** up the dirty water from the carpet. all you will get is suction that is chopy when it comes up instead of more like a flow.

SOURCE: Hoover carpet cleaner does not **** water it blows

push the little square thingy down on the very front of the bottom bucket, then put the lid on before you put it on the machine, then let the force of putting it together push the front thingy up when you put the bottom bucket on the machine as one assembly..... it makes the seal right somehow..... wife about pulled her hair out before we figured it out the hard way...... I may get a reward tonight......

What is the best way to clean a fresh blood stain from a wool carpet?

Cold water on a clean cloth, blot with damp cloth, then with dry cloth, repeat, repeat, repeat until you do not see any red coming out. If you have a carpet cleaner flush it with lots of cold water sucking it up with your carper cleaner or extractor. A good professional carpet cleaner can prevent your spot from becoming a stain. Often you can use enzyme cleaners to remove blood but NOT on wool carpets.

I have a Bissell ProHeat 2x advance carpet cleaner . It stop sucking up water. How can I fix it?

First check your filters. The Customer User Guide says to clean them after each use. There's two: The Water Tank Cap filter (looks like a screen) remove it, clean and reinstall, and the Flow Indicator: Turn the Flow Indicator Cap counter-clockwise and remove. Remove the rotor and under it is the filter. Remove, clean and reinstall in reverse order. If that didn't do it call Bissell Consumer Care at -1-800-237-7691 Hope that helps.

The cleaner is not sucking up the water from the carpet

There should be a filter. If it's clogged or old, water will not flow through it properly. Meaning... Your machine will not suck the water up, once you've made a big mess on your carpet.
Good luck and Merry Christmas, Bill

Hoover brush and wash instruction manual

Hi there! To prepare for cleaning, put the solution and water in the top tank. While cleaning, all the dirty water gets sucked into the bottom tank. To clean squeeze trigger to release cleaning solution and slowly push carpet cleaner forward, this equals one wet stroke. Continue to squeeze trigger and slowly pull carpet cleaner back toward you (second wet stroke). Release trigger and slowly push carpet cleaner forward over area just sprayed with solution (dry stroke). Then slowly pull carpet cleaner back toward you without squeezing trigger (dry stroke). To avoid saturating the carpet don't do more than 4 wet strokes over one area. Always end with dry strokes. Here is a link to view the instruction manual if needed.

Hope this was helpful!

I shampooed my carpet, loaded clean water twice and added the cleaning solution. Then it dawned on me, the carpet is wet and there is not dirty water return. What am I doing wrong?

Look for a place where the dirty water reservoir is not sealed. There is air being sucked in somewhere else instead of the bottom where it's supposed to **** the water.

Do you have a shop vac . Take the bag out of the shop vac ,and **** up the water . When you are done open your windows and do not walk on the carpet for at least one hour . You want your carpets to dry with the pile standing up. Carpet rake is the best thing to use . Best of luck Ed.

Bissell proheat

Where the lip of the tank sits on the clear window, is the gasket there? If it is missing, it won't suck up the water. It is black, oblong (#24)and sits in a slot on the clear window providing a seal for the tank. Is the filter clean(#62), should be sitting in the square opening on the bottom of the lid, it sits right over the sucking opening.
