What make/model of fan is it? Are you using the correct wattage? You might have a short in the light kit. Remove it and check for any bare wires that might be touching something.

Possibly, your switch has a short in it.Outside of that, it may be a broken wire somewhere. Hope this helps. Good luck.

SOURCE: 40w candleabra bulb blew now can't turn lights off with remote

There is a receiver in the fan that when the light blew might have damaged that part of the receiver. I think you can buy them, but you will have to get into the base of the fan(ceiling cover).

SOURCE: fan works lights dont

It's most likely that when the bulb burned out the electrical heat got to the socket causing the emergency shut down of the lights if you take of the light casing there should be a small switch next to one of the bulbs all you have to do is flick the switch, put back the casing and walla your lights should work (hopefully lol =])

Battery on remote went dead. Replaced battery. Fan works fine, but lights will not come on. Tried resetting by turning off and going through the fan settings, but problem continues.

If you have a pull chain on the light, make sure it's in the on position. Also, try different bulbs if that doesn't work.

Lights just stopped working?

Could be a faulty switch or loose wires where they are wired together.

Main beam lights not working

It's possible the "main" lights elements have burnt out.
I believe it's a single bulb per side with both high and low beam elements inside.
Try replacing a bulb and see what that does.

Fan works fine, lights don't. Could it be the remote?

Had this happen to me and it was a hunter fan. Similar problem. Fan worked, lights went out. Took light bulbs out, lowered the light fixture. Tested power coming from the ceiling to the quick connect pins for lights. The power was good. So the Problem's in the light kit. Turns out the government requires all new fans to have certain wattage to lights, set at 190. So 3 60w bulbs or 4 40w. Inside the light kit is a limitor hooked to the black power wire coming from the quick connect,It is smaller wire and mine was pink into limitor and white coming out. Not very big. This went bad so i called Hunter, sending new light kit, but I just wired straight black to black wire bypassed that limitor and lights work fine

Both the LAMP/COVER and FAN/TEMP indicator lights come on, not blinking

with both lights solid. according to the manual all it says is (there is an electrical failure inside the unit, please take to an authorized servicer). if you are able to do this yourself you will need the schematics and a voltmeter to start testing your voltages. your lamp is fine so dont waste your money replacing that anymore. if you would like the service manual send me an email to fixya@markservicepro.com.
