Honda Scoopy will not start


Hi, Pradeep it should be noted that the reasons your check engine light or CEL stays on constantly or flashes and your bike will or will not start and may turn over or not, these conditions will vary from bike to bike depending on the year, make, and model and you should always refer to your owners/service manual for proper diagnostic procedures. It should also be noted that any type of prior work done to the bike or an abnormal event occurrence IE: adding accessories, electrical curiosity/adventures, laying bike down/crashes, rainstorms/bike washings just before CEL light issues started can be significant hints/aids into tracking down the gremlin, also carry the appropriate jumper wire to access fault codes to reduce the risk of being stranded or towed also keep in mind that your CEL comes to life if anything, and I do mean anything isn't 100% with the ECM like parameter spikes. This means that you could be staring at a major repair, or your speedometer sensor is contaminated and needs to be cleaned.
And the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery check the terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary, you should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
2. Faulty charging system.
3. Faulty system sensor some models have up to 40 sensors
4. Faulty safety switches: run/off, ignition, clutch lever, neutral, side stand, tip over, fuel, and or their connections.
5. The engine got wet where it didn't like to get wet.
6. Faulty ignition circuit spark plugs, coils, cables etc.
7. Broken wire or worn insulation exposing wire to a ground situation especially inside wire harness at tight bends around fairing brackets, under dash panels, under fuel tanks over cylinder heads etc. Many harnesses are open on the ends that will allow water to enter and accumulate at v-bends.
Dielectric grease and contact cleaner are your best friends for wire/cable/harness connectors, look for corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets.

The coil on my 125 cc pit bike broke every time that I started the bike, I run the bike for a little while then go off killin the coil, I have tested two coil and both broke


Hi, Jose and the usual suspects are:
1. Wrong coil for service application.
2. Damaged or worn out spark plugs.
3. Spark plug gap too wide.
4. Damaged, leaking, worn out spark plug wires, boots, or center cap connectors check for spark leakage in the dark.
5. Excessive vibration due to the loose mounting bracket.
6. Faulty ground check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.

I have a bajaj chetak scooter and i want to change the sound. So can i replace the original silencer with any other silencer. if yes, then which motorcycle silencer can i use.? All i want is to change the...


If its the 4 stroke version, Just stick a pit bike end can on it, & the original down pipe will probably have to be modified a little to get it looking good but the sound will be better, i am using 2 on my project XT350 build they get used on 140 pit bikes like this, but you can get them for 12 quid as i did.

If its the 2 stroke version, you should be able to get a Vespa expansion chamber to fit it, but they are quite expensive

its not got a feed for charging the battery you need the right part to fix it, swoping bits from an older bike some times realy wont work out for you,, get one from the same moddel and year of bike and its then just a case of a strate swop over,,,
you can fit a lorry wheel on a car can you?

Need to know how to wire up a pit bike from only wires off the motor to 5 wires , i have swaped motors an the new motor has 5 wires comin from it the old motor had only 2 so im not sure how to wire it up...


it is the same as the other motor on any pit bike the red goes to red and some times the spartplug comes from the motors so you knever know the other three wires are for you light horn and rev counters if you really want to but the pit bikes are made for off orad so you will be spoiling the bike with lights and just remember you need road legal tyres aswell
