Question about Audio Players & Recorders

How do I stop the CD tray from opening just after it closes, so that my disk can be read?

I was unable to open my CD tray, so i carefully disassembled the unit using the manual and checked the belt, which was fine. I lightly lubricated the guide shaft with lithium grease, and puffed air lightly yo dispel any dust inside. After re-assembling, the disk tray now opens, I put on a CD, press close which it does, but then a few seconds later it opens again - without reading the disk or allowing me to play it. Could it be due to the levers at the back of the disk tray, or over-lubrication ... or what? Many thanks in advance for your ideas ...

SOURCE: CD opens and closes perpetually. CD won't play.

likely yes. does not sound like coincidence. try this: search ebay for an AS-IS item for $1 and use it for part-swapping. first to swap-the main circuit board holding the micro chip.

SOURCE: CD drawer will not open or close

Had The Same With Mine. Its was the belt Inside that joins Motor To Cd Tray. Its Black and directly under the cd tray at the front. Its probably either loose like mine of maybe broken. I replaced mine with an elastic band and its been fine since.

SOURCE: CD drawer will not open or close

Hi, The CD drawer mechanism needs a new belt. They have a motor that drives the tray mechanism, and there's a small belt that drives the main gear so that pushing the drawer in gently to close it doesn't damage anything. However, once that belt breaks/wears out, the drawer will stay in whatever position it was last in.

SOURCE: Technics SC-CH515 CD Tray Does Not Stay Open

I DO NOT think that problem related with CD cleaner
3 possibility here
1 The loading belt was lose it can not open fully to reach the switch open when the time limited was out as program design from system control it automatic close
2 The loading gear system out of position 1 tooth
3 Dry joints on switch open and close or connector from CD tray to system control intermittent contact
In any case it require a qualifier Tech from Panasonic to reset the timimg gear or service
I hope that give you some ideas if you need further info or service manual I am willing to help you out
Cheers

The disktray automaticly opens and closed several times. When I put a cd in de tray the tray closed and opend without playing

Hi, when a disk tray automatically opens and closed several time, might be from the disk tray itself is jambed that's why it opening and closes by itself. You can open up the player and check if any thing in hooking it.

Also it might need to be replaced, the wheels inside the DVD player might be too weak to move in and out without moving automatically.

The way i see it, you might end up replacing the disk tray with a new one..

Have a nice day.

Use a straightened paperclip to insert in the hole found on the front of and underneath the tray (different makes different positions but all at the front). You may have to use a little force, but not too much. The mechanism uses a cantilever action to push the tray out.

Let me know how you go.

If there is a tiny hole somewhere near the tray you need to poke a needle or something like that in there to open the tray.

My NAD C251i CD player isn't reading disks - platform stops short

To fix it, you need to replace the spindle motor top bearing. The bearing is worn and the player mistracks as the armature moves about under the changing drive conditions. Makes the player mistrack and skip. Because the disc is spinning fast.

Replacing the bearing should resolves the problem.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

360 disk tray

What I did was took apart my Xbox and put the disc tray back on the tracks, carefully lifting it over the circle thing in the middle. When I lay my Box down horizontally, it opens and closes fine.

Cd tray error Canon Pixma MP810

Sorry a little late only just read your problem.
The location is not the bottom tray feeder but the disk tray. In settings change your media type to "Printable Disk" the paper scource should automatically change to "Disk Tray" and hopefully every thing will work OK.
