Question about InFocus Office Equipment & Supplies

Open Question

How do I hook up my Marantz SR3001 to a Optoma projector?

I had a InFocus projector that I bought in 2008, It stopped working and they are no longer in circulation. I purchased a new Optoma projector this year (2015), When I turn it on, I can hear the sound of the people on the DVD I put in, but no picture, I see on the screen the words (NO SIGNAL) and the hook up is different than what I had with my InFocus projector. What do I need to do to see the the picture? The Marantz receiver I bought in 2008 has no HDM1 settings in the back of it. Please help!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: toshiba laptop won't work with new optoma projector

-toggle the laptop display using the FN keys and F5 I believe. -lower laptop resolution to 800 x 600 -look in laptop display properties for lcd or external display settings, see if it (external crt) has to be enabled on the laptop first.

Hi John

Hook up a PC and check if you get a image.

If you don't , then there is a Mainboard problem !

SOURCE: dvd10 optoma projector makes a loud noise

Hi, I'm not sure if it's the same problem I had..
I had it on picture mute, for maybe 15 mins, which may not have been a good idea. While it was muted, it made a sparking sound, and then a very loud grinding noise. When turned off, the lound noise stops, and the fan continues as usual for about a minute. As soon as it's turned back on, the grinding noise is back. But the logo seemed to display ok.

I took it in for repairs, and they said they needed to replace the color wheel to fix the problem.

Guys, the projector doesn't do HDCP.  HDMI won't work.  You'll need to run over component or VGA.

I have a marantz sr3001 and the sounds and image is good but the picture is in black and white. How do I get color?

If you're using component cables I would suspect one is not connected or working. Isolate by swapping them around. OR bypass the whole receiver. What does it really do for external source video anyway besides offer opportunities for cable issues and degradation?

I always run my video directly to my TV.

Infocus lp770, trying to hook up to apple computer using the usb port? will this connection work to run the 770?

Hi!
You need to hook it up using VGA or HDMI for it to transmit information from your Apple computer to projector. You can check the Ports available at the back of your projector and you can Purchase cable needed from either Apple or Infocus or any computer store.
Hope this helps.

Rca input is broken on my infocus x1 bought vga adaptor to rca and i get no image is there some reason why it won't pick up vga connection

is the rca port broken or just not getting a signal? if it's truely broken, replace or repair the main board. if it's just a signal issue, reset the settings to factory default. try hooking up your computer and see if that works.

Where can I get an infocus projector repaired in

reset the settings to factory default. if that doesn't work, you may need to have the eca controller (main board) replaced. unfortunately, infocus no longer carries parts for that model anymore.

My Optoma HD65 Projector stops starts working and

Possible cause is overheating.
Do you hear the fan working?
What happens when you use the lowest level light output?
Does it run longer?

Also possible cause is a faulty temp sensor.
AC wire connection may not be firmly pressed in socket.

Smalll Picture

Hello,
In the projector's menu under "aspect ratio" is sounds as though you have it set to "native"
this setting usually results in a small image.
Try either the 16x9 or the 4x3 setting depending on the aspect ratio of the source. I hope this helps you.

LP 640 projector not able to display 1080p

Hello, The LP640 will NOT down-convert 1080p
1080i is the max it can down-convert.

As far as the DIGI input, it is not DVI... It's a proprietary
InFocus format they call M1-D P&D and is NOT HDCP compatible. I have several LP640 manuals, some quite old and none of them claim that 1080p is a valid resolution. interesting that your manual says it is... very odd indeed.

Good Luck!

Cheers
