I've read the GE Simon XT may not work with Voip but I also read the I may be able to use an adapter? Anyone have any ideas?

What are the advantages of SIP for VoIP?

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is an application layer protocol that is based on IP. It is a major communication standard mostly responsible for VoIP (Voice over IP) telephonic system. In the traditional phone networks, ISDN (Integrated Services for Digital Network) is considered as the communication standard designed for the transmission of voice traffic. Both ISDN, and SIP are usable with equal reliability; however, in ISDN system, the clients need to pay for the data service, and voice service separately, while in the SIP system there is no separate charge for data and voice. Thus, SIP is just good for the customers as it decreases the telephone charges drastically.
Reliance Global Call-Enterprise is one of the most reliable and popular SIP trunk providers over VoIP. It helps to install SIP trunk at the organizational levels, enabling to cut international call rates like local calls. Moreover, the users can connect their landlines, as also mobile lines with the SIP trunk service for VoIP.

Why Is my NEC SV8100 system not accepting calls from my other sites but will accept calls from outside?

So much of our modern communications is now VOIP, uses the internet to complete your call. Problem is internet gets slow, or there's 10 different places where voip settings can get messed up and you need a certified service tech to track this down. Even having normal landlines may not help if calls your other offices are routed only over VoIP.

The bada system not support any mobile voip for international call

The issue with the VoIP software you are experiencing may be caused by installing an unsigned VoIP software suite, such that the software is unable to connect to the internet's RTSP(Real-Time streaming protocol) to eshtablish a link with the VoIP service provider. Try to install a digitally signed application for the job.

How to do internet settings manually on nokia e71

BEFORE YOU BEGIN, please note the following:
On the Nokia E71 some of VoIP settings are hidden by default, and you will need Nokia's new VoIP SIP application.
This application can be used to configure VoIP settings on your Nokia. You can create new VoIP profiles and modify the existing ones, and create and modify VoIP parameters and NAT/Firewall traversal settings and that are normally not visible on the device UI, such as codec settings and SIP domain-specific NAT/FW settings. It is also possible to save all the VoIP profile settings to a text file. It also enables VoIP over WCDMA which means you can make VoIP call over 3G Internet connection.
Using your PC you can download free Nokia SIP VoIP application from here or you can check Nokia web sitefor latest version.
Extract and install SIS file using Nokia PC Suite software on your PC.
Once installation is complete you will be able to see "SIP VoIP Settings" application under Applications menu on your Nokia, which you will need in STEP 5 of this configuration guide for better voice quallity or enabling VoIP over 3G Internet connection.
Here you can find Nokia E71 SIP settings for voip setup and SIP client configuration guide with VoIPVoIP service.
STEP 1 Go to Tools / Settings / Connection / SIP settings. Create the following profile
Profile Name: VoIPVoIP Service
Profile: IETF Default
Access point: (your WLAN AP name)
Public user name: 5551231234@sip3.voipvoip.com ( Instead of 5551231234 account number example, use the account number assigned to you when signed up for VoIPVoIP service. When recorded your phone will show sip:5551231234@sip3.voipvoip.com )
Use Compression: No
Registration: "Always on "
Use Security: No

STEP 2 You do not need to enter Proxy Server settings
Proxy Server Address: none
Registrar Server:none
Realm: none
User Name: none

STEP 3 Enter the following for Registrar Server settings
Registrar Server: sip3.voipvoip.com (When recorded your phone will show sip:sip3.voipvoip.com)
Realm: voipvoip.com
User Name: 5551231234 (Instead of 5551231234 account number example, use the account number assigned to you when signed up for VoIPVoIP service. )
Password: Enter the password that you chose when you signed up for the service.
Transport Type: UDP
Port: 5060

STEP 4 Go to Tools / Settings / Connection / Internet Tel. Settings
Create a new profile for "voipvoip"(555123xxxx), name it "voipvoip"
Choose "voipvoip" as Preferred profile
STEP 5 For better voice quality or in order to be able to make VoIP calls over 3G internet connection you need to use Nokia SIP VoIP Application you installed.
Go to Applications on your phone and click on "SIP VoIP Settings" application. Choose VoIP services/VoIPVoIP (or the name of your VoIPVoIP account Internet profile.)
Click on "Profile Settings" and find "Allow VoIP over WCDMA" option and change it to "ON" This change allows VoIP over 3G connection on Nokia phones.
For better voice quality go to Codecs and delete all codecs except G729. There should be only G729 codec left under codecs setting
STEP 6 Reboot your phone. Once your phone is back on it will automatically register to VoIPVoIP.
Once it is registered you can start making calls.
Default call type: To switch between normal GSM calls or VOIP calls, navigate to Tools / Settings / Call / Default call type. Select Cellular to make normal calls to the phone number or Internet to use VoIP to call the number or address
Make Calls!
To dial any phone number that is part of the NANP (North American Numbering Plan), you must dial:
1 + Area Code + Phone number
To dial any phone number that is outside of the NANP (North American Numbering Plan), you must dial:
Country Code + City Code + Phone number
For example if you want to call Brazil (country code 55) phone number in Rio de Janeiro (city code 21) you must dial 5521 and phone number. + sign can also be used and number can be dialed as +5521xxxxxxx

BUT RATHER THAN FOLLOWING THESE PLS CALL TO YOUR CUSTOMER CARE THEY WIL GIVE THE SETTINGS. SAVE THEM. THEN FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. THIS DOES NOT COST ANY COST. PLEASE TRY THIS

VoIP setup with 2 lines - Both lines pick up on outgoing calls

It does not matter that you have VoIP or traditional telco with the problem you are describing. I think you have a problem with the adaptor or a wire. Check the connectors and the plugs in the phone to see if anything is bent.

I can not send or recieve faxes. Ran fax test

Cox Cable is pretty much the same as comcast's and vonage's services. HP fax machines have had HUGE compatibility issues with those types of services, and may be that they did something to their service that caused your fax to stop working.....

Other than that call HP and see if they have any troubleshooting or Diagnostics that you can run, but I ran in to these problems with HP faxes all the time while installing comcast phone service, never knew WHY it didn't work, just that HP doesn't work on that type of service.....at least certain models...Also maybe call COX and see if they did anything recently that could cause it to stop working....

How would fax run on VOIP? what requirment it needs?

typically faxing doesn't work on VOIP. i tried many times and sometimes it would go through although it said it didn't. other times it didn't work at all. VOIP has a limited bandwidth and the fax needs to send more info over the line than VOIP makes room for.

to have the best luck, stop all downloads and other network traffic while attempting to fax, so that there are no other programs or devices using the internet. the fax will have its best chance of working that way, although it probably still won't

here are some very good tips as well:
