Can a half inch pipe and 3/4 work

Sure you can stay in 3/4 into the house a ways. Some of my plumber friends run 3/4 all the way to the hot water tank. It increases the volume of water. This is particularly effective if there isn't much water pressure. Dropping down to 1/2 inch will increase the pressure. All you need is a 1/2" by 3/4" bushing to drop down to 1/2". Where does the hose. top-front of carb connect to ?

It probably broke off from a Tee fitting. Three hoses connect at one junction point. After it breaks off, you will only see two hoses that look like a single hose, but with a plastic connector holding them together. Also at that junction point, you will have a hole in the plastic connector, where the hose that came off the carb belongs. This broken Tee fitting creates a vacuum leak. Purchase a new Tee fitting, disconnect the old part, then install the new one.

Fix copper tubing 1/2 " pipe

use pipe cutter to lop off end and sand the last 2-3 inches down with abrasive sand cloth. if you never braised before, i would recomend sharkbite plumbing fittings. comes in 1/2", which is what it looks like you have. it slides onto existing pipe (copper, pvc, cpvc and pex) and makes a seal, while the teeth inside keep it from coming off. there is a ring on the end that you can push in with a specific tool (which comes with some fittings) to remove it. they have extentions, valves, couplings and terminations in sharkbite. they sell them at any home depot. good luck and have fun

Water is leaking from the cold water pipe on the top of the water heater. Is the whole thing broke?

Without seeing how the plumbing to your heater is piped, its hard to say.I would venture to say that the heater is ok, unless its very old, and you just have to repair the leaking pipe. If its plumbed in Copper, and you are not familiar with sweating a joint, then you may need a plumber, however if its Galvanized (iron), CPVC or Poly you could do it yourself. If you could e-mail me a picture or two, I could tell you exactly what to do. If its leaking bad, you need to shut the power off and turn the water off to the heater, should be a valve located in the cold water line near the heater, which will turn water off to heater but leave it on in the rest of the house.

I need to hook up 3/4 cpvc water supply line to water meter

I went to Home Depot for the same reason.Ended up getting a brass fitting with a cpvc insert that excepted the cpvc pipe to be glued into brass fitting once it was screwed in place.Came out about a foot then used a coupler to join both cpvc pipes so in the future I can replace meter without cutting pipe.Im not a plummer just a home owner who cant afford one so I dont know if I did it right but it works.

How to connect radiators to the pipes

I am assuming that the radiators you want to hook up are designed for hot water? If so you will need to run two pipes to each radiator, one for supply water one for return. Radiators work well on a monoflow Tee installation ( I suggest you Google monoflow tee intstallation). Valve the supply side so you have some adjustment of water flow to regulate the amount of heat it will put out. From your boiler you will need to install a main supply pipe all the way around the perimeter of the house (in the basement). I suggest a 1" diameter copper pipe. Then you will need to locate your radiators. Install a supply tee in the 1" pipe and go up to your radiator with either 1/2" or 3/4" copper pipe. Install a valve in this line to regulate flow. Connect to the radiator using the correct fitting. On the return side, connect to the same diameter pipe as the supply and take that down to a monoflow tee installed in the 1" copper pipe. Make sure you face the tee correctly or you will not get flow thru the radiator. Because there are different methods to connect radiators, this is just a suggestion. Google the net for other suggestions, talk to a heating professional and study prior to installing or it will cost you money and aggravation.
