What does E 13 mean on a Kenmore microwave oven?

Kenmore microwaves are made by several manufacturers. The E-13 error may indicate a humidity sensor issue or a problem with the control board. It could also be an issue with the wiring between the sensor and the control board. Try unplugging (or turning off the circuit breaker to) the microwave for at least 30 seconds. This may reset the error. If the problem recurs, the sensor or the control board may need to be replaced. Microwaves can store an enormous amount of power in the capacitor and may be dangerous. Repairs are best done by a professional.

I hope this helps.

(The E-13 code diagnostics above apply to Samsung-made microwaves.)

What does this mean on my Samsung smh9151 microwave oven? -SE-

The SE error indicates a short was detected at the key pad. This could be a problem with the wiring (dirt at a connection) or a bad circuit board. If your microwave is under warranty, contact Samsung.

Since microwaves have high voltage, you may not want to try to fix this yourself. If you do, make sure to be careful. Some have fixed the error after unplugging the microwave. Then disassemble the microwave keypad area. Disconnect the various wires and clean all of the contacts. (Do one wire harness at a time so that you replace them in the right place.) Reassemble and plug in the microwave. Test if the SE error returns. If the error remains, then the control board needs to be replaced. To get the entire keypad and control board, see . The board alone is here: .

I hope this helps.

Why does my samsung MW725WB starts up on its own

Try putting a cup of water in the microwave to see if it is really heating, or if it is just making noise. If it is really heating on it's own whenever the door is closed, then you have a stuck relay on the control board, and you probably have to replace the control board. If it's just "making noise" (running but not heating), then it is probably a bad door switch.

Fuse on a Samsung smh918st

Unplug microwave oven, remove top, go to the keypad control board, follow wires to main circuit board, look for a silver rectangular capacitor, short across the two points with a screwdriver, look for a clipped in fuse near by, pop out and replace with the same current rating.

My micorwave

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Your described problem indicates that the logic circuitry in the main controller board is faulty. Since the logic circuitry is integral to the board, it would require an assembly replacement. On most brands/models, the main controller board is directly behind the display panel. In some instances, it could be a stuck key/button hence the logic would not reset.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
