1st with mover off verify that both handles move same amount forward , I use a string to measure them , they both have mechanical stops that do bend and move sometimes
second locate control body valve , (thing that handles connect too) there should be a pump pressure adjust (allen key) on the side of this your gonna need to make small adjustments and try it , is difficult to do if you don't have a lift to elevate wheels of mower (but is possible without ) but takes patience

SOURCE: My toro zero turn seems to overheat and stops moving from left side about half hour it runs fine.?

First check to see if you have any leaks especially on the problem let side. This includes the wheel motor. where hydro oil comes out, air can go in. either way it sounds like you need to take your pump out and open it up and check for metal inside. If you do not have any metal inside check the 5 pistons to see if they are stuck. What series hydro pump do you have?
10L 10A etc.

My Toro won't go in reverse on the left side.

Is the unit new? I saw a situation where Lowe's forgot to attach the steering arm. Then again, your pressure release valve (what allows for free manual movement) may be open.

I have a toro zero turn z4200 starts and runs fine but when I put arms in gear, it will not move forward or backward.

Make sure the drives are engaged. Under the seat and towards the rear are two thin metal levers with finger loops. These are used to disengage the drives in order to push the mower when the engine is off. Levers towards the back to engage.
Good luck

Toro zero turn mower has no drive power when I engage the transmission arms. very slow or no wheel turn.

Check the hydraulic fluid level first. Have you had the fluid and filter changed? Jack the rear tires up and support it with jack stands. Start the mower and run the wheels forward and backwards for about five times each. This will bleed any air that may be in the lines. Lower the mower and try it again. If it doesn't work, look at the condition of the pump belt. Is it slipping? Is it glazed looking on the side of the belts? If all looks good, then you will have to have the pumps volume tested at a local shop. This requires specialized tools to perform a flow test. If they fail the volume flow test, then they will have to be replaced.
