Question about Computers & Internet
Intelbras used to be a OEM customer of other manufacturers. Maybe this model was just "renamed". I wanna know if it is compatible with DD-WRT/Tomato firmwares.

Second, I too am a dd-wrt user and found a similar problem when using dd-wrt with my IPCOP. You may want to go into the "Security" section of your dd-wrt and disable any fire walling or access-restrictions. Since you are already running zonealarm. Or remove zonealarm if you plan to use dd-wrt as your firewall.
Running multiple firewalls will slow down your network/Internet traffic.

Understand that what you are trying to do, may permanently turn that router into a piece of trash. Firmware upgrades are hit and miss, and sometimes even doing everything correctly will result in a "Bricked" router. A bricked router is one that is about as useful to a computer as a brick. Proceed at your OWN RISK!
Read all directions BEFORE you try anything! First D/L the correct firmware for your router. Then D/L TFTP.EXE from the DD-WRT site. Put these files right on the desktop where you can find them and unzip the firmware. (I am assuming you are running Windows XP)
Now connect your router to the computer you are using with an Ethernet cable and plug in the power. DO NOT TRY THIS VIA WIRELESS!! Then you need to set your computer to a fixed IP address, Open your network connections (control panel - Network Connections) right click your local area connection and select properties. Highlight Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) and again select properties. Under the General Tab select "Use the following IP address" enter 192.168.1.99 Under Subnet mask enter 255.255.255.0 Click OK and wait for the TCP/IP connection to be established. The router first must be reset to the factory default configuration BEFORE you flash it.
Resetting the router means, with the router plugged in to a power source hold down the reset button (on the back of the router) for 30 seconds, then pull the power but continue holding the reset button for another 30 seconds. Then WHILE STILL HOLDING THE RESET BUTTON, plug the power back in and hold it for another 30 seconds. Now you can let the button go and allow the router to reboot.
If you still have only the power light blinking, try pinging the router. Open a command prompt, (Start RUN CMD [Enter]) and type PING -t 192.168.1.1 Leave this window open and dbl-click the TFTP.exe program. There are three empty boxes in the TFTP program. Enter the IP address of the router in the server box (192.168.1.1) enter ADMIN (all lower case) in the password box and click the dots next to the file box, browse to your desktop and select the firmware image you downloaded (.BIN)
Now if your ping command is only returning "Request Timed Out" try resetting the router again only this time watch the ping window for a response from the router. If you get a response, immediately click "upgrade" on the TFTP window. If all goes well you should get an "Upgrade Successful" message. This step is important!! RESET THE ROUTER again after waiting 10 minutes. Now if the router was not initially reset to the factory default configuration before someone tried to upgrade the firmware, it is possible that the router is hanging while it tries to boot and the firmware image was corrupted. If that is the case then you will need to read the DD-WRT Wiki under "Bricked Router". Good Luck!!

Your Internet service provider (ISP) requires a username and password to access service features, including Internet and email.
Your ISP should provide this information when you set up your Internet service.
Typically, once you complete the setup and save the information, your router or modem transmits it behind the scenes when you try to access the Internet.
As a result, the username and password can be easily forgotten because they are not used daily.
If you reset your router or simply forget the password, gaining access to network resources and the Internet becomes a challenge.
Call your ISP's technical support department.
Many ISPs set a default username and password for their routers.
If you didn't change the username and password, your ISP can provide the original information.
Before you hang up, make sure the information is correct by entering it and trying to connect to the Internet.
If the information is incorrect and you still cannot get a connection, keep the information for later reference.
Call your router's manufacturer.
The manufacturer of your router sets a username and password prior to shipping the device to your ISP.
Look at the router for the contact information of the manufacturer.
Call their customer service or technical support department and ask for the default information.
Reset your router.
If you changed your router's username and password and cannot remember what you entered, you may have to reset the router.
Insert the resource CD into your computer's CD drive.
When the software installation program starts, search the screen for "Resources" or "Documentation" or "User Manual."
Click the documentation link and search the table of contents for resetting the router.
When you reset the router, the username and password return to the default set by your ISP or manufacturer.
Enter the information provided by your ISP or manufacturer.
