In the header... Plumbing side
And wire plugs onto heat / control assembly board.
SNS indicates that the Temperature Sensor is out of range! There are two thermistors within that sensor, and if there is a difference of 2 degrees, the board will throw a Fault Code: SNS
check for good connection at board, and ensure the sensor is all the way seated properly in its well.
otherwise, it may be bad.

My Leslie copper therm pool heat fires, then turned off and LED says sns. What is wrong model P-l400A-EN L400A-EN

I think sns means sensor, perhaps the over temp sensor is defective, that would cause the shut down.

I get sns on my heater

SNS on Raypak heaters means the following:

1. Water temp is below 36 degrees F, or above 110 degrees F.

2. The sensor contains 2 thermistors. If they are more than 2 degrees aparts, an SNS failure will occur. Replace sensor.

3. Loose or corroded connection at P1 on the main CPU board (right behind the LCD screen)

4. If the sensor is not mounted ALL THE WAY into the JACO fitting (on top of the header) it will give a false reading.

It is more likely than not, that you need to replace the temperature sensor. Part number 009577F.

Rheem 206 propane heater will not fire has code #sns what is the problem? the water is 65 degree.

SNS means the temp sensor is out of acceptable range. Could be the following:

1. Water temp is below 36 degrees F
2. The sensor contains 2 thermistors, if they are more than 2 degrees apart and SNS failure will occur
3.Loose or corroded connection at P1 on the main board
4. If the sensor has come out of the JACO fitting on the header, it may read a SNS failure.

Solution, visually inspect the connections for corrosion. If it looks ok, then replace the temp sensor.

The LED displays the letters 'dr' flashing & 'SnS' flashing what does this mean because my spa is full but will not heat. Also when the electrician came to power up the spa he's just ran it off a...

First, get a new electrician. Circuit should be a dedicated one, GFCI protected.

Next, the dr means the heater doesn't have sufficient water in it. The SnS means the sensor is out of balance. If the SnS is blinking, it just means the spa is shut down, more than likely because of the dr message...Check all your valving to make sure the heater is not isolated..

What does SMS on digital screen mean?

I believe the code is SNS which is sensor failure. It thinks your pool water is either above 110 degrees F or below 36 degrees F. Post the exact model/serial and will assist you further. The sensor is not expensive and somewhat easy to change if you are mechanically inclined. If not, I would strongly advise you to call your local mechanical contractor to service this boiler and it does not have to be a pool company, it can be your furnace contractor. Or let me know where you are located and I can recommend someone from that area.

Thanks
Richard
