Mower started and made 1 pass in the yart and it made a vary loud boom and then quit. I have now info except it is 2007 troybuilt

With no more information I feel you should see a mechanic as there could be damage done.

17.5 briggs on troybuilt riding mower blows black liquid out muffler on startup.


the black liquid is most likely oil and the smoke indicates the rings are bad or a valve is sticking allowing oil into the cylinder.
you are most likely looking at an engine rebuild

Can you get model, serial and year? There should be a tag or plate near or under the seat with this info. I should be able to get diagrams for you.

Wheels 0n troybilt rototiller won't turn


Many Troybuilt Tillers have Pins on the Wheels and axle. Like troybuilt Bronco for instance. If you want the wheel to turn you need to set that pin so it goes through the rim and through the axle.

if it is still new. call troybuilt and ask who in your area does service work on troybuilt mowers, because it is still under warranty...good luck

Backfiring engine on start up


Could be anything. An air leak between carb and motor, wrong jet settings(air fuel mixture), choke adjustment, water in gas, and more.
