Question about Cuisinart DCC-1200 Coffee Maker

1 Answer

Help with cuisinart dcc-1200.

It does turn on for couple seconds and shuts off. I can see the clock on display and all other buttons seems like functioning. Its just the toggle button that when I switch to turn on the set, doesn't stay on and turns off. We only used it for a few times and stopped using it for a while and now Its not working.

Is the cold water supply tank full? Have you set the shutoff delay up to max (4 hrs)? If you've used it very little, it may still be under warranty, and the store you got it from may exchange it for you.

Thanks for your reply. Yes the tank is almost full, the shut off time is set to 2 and I also changed it to 4. I also realized that when I turn it on, it also reset the closk back to 12:00 when the unit turns off in nomore than 2 seconds. I need to contact manufacturer to replace the unit. I bought it over a year ago and the store will not replace it.

    Thanks though gor your comment.

It's possible you have weak AC wall outlet. Otherwise, it's a doorstop :=(.

Coffee maker shuts off too soon after brewing.

Hello FloydBob, The Cuisinart DCC-1200 has the ability to program the auto-off function that keeps your coffee warmer plate on after brewing is complete.

The unit lets you select the time increments from zero up to 4 hours.

See page 6 of the attached manual for the full instructions for reprogramming the coffee maker.

To program the Variable Auto Off:
1. Turn the FUNCTION KNOB to the “Auto Off”
position. Press and hold the “Hour” button
for 2 seconds. The clock display will start
blinking.
2. Program the coffeemaker to shut off from
zero to four hours after brew cycle is
finished by using the “Hour” and “Minute”
push-buttons.

I figured you might also like to have a complete instruction/owners manual so you can have access for any other questions you might have about your coffee maker, in the future.

I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Can't change the time

Have you tried turning the left dial to "PROG" instead of "CLOCK"? This is the only way I can change the clock time on mine...Seems like some kind of a design error...Now I'm not sure what the "CLOCK" function does! Very odd...

Yep. Unplug for 20 minutes or longer officially. If it doesn't work, your serial number may still put you in warranty. They have a longer warranty period than anyone.

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.
