Check batteries status on your remote. If these are OK then refer to UG how to factory reset the TV set.

To play videogames on an old tv PLEASE HELP

You'll need to switch the TV into Video mode. Most TV sets will have a button on the front panel labelled "input" or "tv/video," and pressing this button will cycle through the various inputs your TV has.

Alternatively, this button may be located on your remote control.

Rarely, no button exists, and video input is selected by changing the channel below channel 2; as if you were trying to select channel 1. This will select the video input on sets without a separate input selector button.

Trying to set up my xbox to my orion tv but cant get it to work. the screen shows nothing but snow

You have to switch the TV to the proper input. If you are getting snow, the tv is on the cable input. Xbox only works on the composite or component inputs on the set. The inputs are labeled at the jacks that you have connected too. Find the input button on the tv remote and switch the tv input to the input number you are connected to. Thanks for using fixya.

Cant find input on screen to play dvd

Select av?, the ? is the number of the socket the dvd is plugged into, normally written next to the socket. If you are using the front/side inputs they will be a shared input so you may have to turn off another unit to view.

Press the TV button on the remote. You are confusing the Comp button with the Input button which allows you to switch between input ports.

Dvd wont work.

First, is the DVD player output (Video out, audio out) connected to the TV input? Have you used the Yellow cable from  DVD video out to the TV video in? Mixing the audio and video cables will result in no signal. Have you selected the proper input with your TV remote control. Most plasmas accept a variety of input signals; you must select the right one. I deal with a number of these issues. Usually the connections are made improperly or the correct input source is not selected with the TV remote. Put a DVD in the player and press play. Be sure you have made the proper connection from DVD player video/audio out into an auxiliary or video input on the TV. These could be labeled Line 1 or Line 2.  With the DVD playing, run through the input options on your remote control. The button might be marked source, video or input. The screen should display your choices i.e. video 1, video 2, etc. When you see your DVD program, you've got the right combination.
