Why doesnt my Homelite HG3500 generator not produce power when running?

Try flashing the rotor it has lost it's resideual magnetism through sitting.
Disconnect the rotor field wires at the AVR or on the exciter/brushes. Note they are polaroty sensitive. Connect a 12V battery to F+ and F- (note polarity) and momentarilly power from the battery for a few seconds. DO NOT forget to disconnect the rotor/exciter field wires first or the voltage regulator will be damaged.

Powerstorke 6250 running but no power outage

If it has sat, it may have lost it's rotor residual magnetism. If it hasn't sat check voltage regulator, rotor resistance, and stator resistance, and for shorts to ground.

How to connect a new era alternator voltage regulator wiring diagram.Or a schematic diagram of the charging system.

knowing the color codes can be a great help..usually in 12v reg system, from the regulator there are 6 white wire having a stripe codes, blue means neutral, green means field, black means ground to body, white means hot wired to +12v,yellow means to bat charging indicator going to instrument panel and finally red means to ignition....and always secure the regulators case to ground.
