If you have a fuel injector sticking it can cause the gas to flood the cylinders and flow into the oil pan. Pull the plugs out and you should see one that has to much fuel on it or else it will be black. Be sure to change the oil and filter before starting up the engine again because if it fires the gas in the oil you will blow the engine.

Older engines had mechanical fuel pumps attached to the side of the engine and driven by a push rod. If the diaphragm in the fuel pump failed, gas could get into the engine crankcase and dilute the oil.
