Question about Kitchen Appliances - Others
Its 4 years old but wasnt used much for 2 yrs....had no trouble up to this !
I assume this question is about an electric mower and not a breadmaker.
Electric mowers almost universally use a series wound brush-type motor which is inherently electrically very noisy so the internal insulation is very highly stressed. Voltage spikes, surges and transients on the mains supply do not help much either. Low quality motors are built for a short working life and while some will survive for a long time the majority of motors in budget equipment are soon thrown away along with the equipment because it is more economic to replace rather than repair.
Almost as common as motor problems is extension leads with a broken wire somewhere inside and these aren't the only possible problems.
The space here and the time and effort required to tell you how to check these things, starting by telling you how to use a multimeter, etc. is insufficient. Owning and using appliances is something for those with money or those with the know-how to carry out troubleshooting and a few repairs. I suggest you learn and there is no better way than to arrange for a circle of friends and neighbours who can teach you and/or help do the things you can't.
