Sealife Micro HD+ underwater camera is frozen

It appears to be on, but won't charge or start. The screen monitor is lit up but nothing happens when I push the buttons. I was in the process of downloading images when this happened.

SOURCE: Can't download images from Canon SD1100 to computer

Hi and welcome to FixYa.

Sounds like your reading right from the manual. <grin>
Try this.
Connect the camera to the computer via the usb cable. Set the mode switch to playback and press the power button, then:
on your pc go to Start>All Programs (or Programs)>Canon Utilities and find Canon Window. Double click on it and it should fire the program. Let me know if you have any problems. If not, feel free to rate my solution.

Insert sd card camcorderst recognize any micro sdcard

If your SP1 camera cannot recognize the micro SD card, please be sure you are using a card between 4GB to 32GB, class 10 speed. If possible, please try another micro SD card to be sure that the card that is not recognized is not defective. If you are using a card with correct specifications and it is not recognized, then the micro SD card port on your camera may be defective. Please contact Intova directly via email: fatema@intova.net or call us at 808-837-0074 for customer service/warranty coverage. Thanks.

My intova sp1 won't turn on.why?

Please try to reset camera by inserting and pushing the end of a paper clip into the reset hole located on the camera back next to the Micro SD card port. Please also try to recharge the Li-ion battery by connecting he camera to a computer via the supplied USB cable. If either solutions don't work, then please contact Intova directly by either calling 808-837-0074 or email kevin@intova.net

Were can I get the camera only for dc500 Sealife .seals leaked and need new or used camera

Unfortunately, the camera is a generic, very outdated and cheap Chinese model which may have been supplied under a variety of brand names that nobody has ever heard of, or which is more likely to be exclusive to SeaLife (at least in North and South America, Australia/NZ and Europe). Despite what at least one website claims, it definitely is NOT a rebadged Canon model and as it's only a 5MP, 3x optical zoom model with a poor battery life it's likely that even budget brands no longer sell this model. From experience with previous SeaLife digital models I know that the company will supply the camera alone, subject to stock, but as the housing doesn't cost them very much to have manufactured the discount isn't that attractive. Considering the very basic image and build quality of the camera it feels like being robbed but the company has you over a barrel...

If you can, buy a different model altogether as the DC500 casing does appear to be poorly designed and leak prone. I've known one dive buddy who discovered that the catch for the casing was easy to accidentally unlatch underwater and a couple of other friends have found that the seals around the buttons are leaky. Almost any decent modern compact with a suitable housing is going to be far superior and better value. One good example is the Olympus PT-048 housing which fits their "ยต TOUGH-8010/6020" models. The basic camera is already waterproofed to some extent, so you have a degree of double protection if there are any leaks.

If you cannot afford to invest from scratch again then there are plenty of good Sea and Sea 35mm models which can be obtained very cheaply and if you use slide film and scan the results you can get far better pictures.

I just rescued this SVP DC-8000 from a garage sale, as a camera to carry at work and on my motorcycle. It works perfectly, but no software. Know where I can get the software bundle?

I'm not familiar with this camera so I did a Google search. It keeps coming up as an underwater camera and instead of 8000 it's an 800. It's also quite expensive if it really is what I found. The only downloads available are the drivers for various computer operating systems and the operating manuals. You can easily use a card reader to download any pictures you take with it but I would definitely download the owner's manual. It's available at the Sealife website. Just Google Sealife cameras and you will find the link to take you there.
