There are smaller foam filters also, I suspect they are caught by one of those.

I starts and tehn stops and beeps three times. I can start it aain and it will run but then it does the same thing'

TYhe iRobot Roomba has different model designations. Here is a webpage with a list of what the beeps mean in the 400 series. I am thinking that is what you have. 3 beeps means the dirt cup is dirty, filters are dirty, or debris in collecting and it needs to be cleaned.

Here is the webpage:

Hope this helps. If it does, I would appreciate a vote. Thanks,

Throwing out dirt while vacuuming

Let's do some trouble shooting-- and maybe we can come up with some clues?

The air has to go somewhere-- And if the filters are clogged, the air will escape into the room, instead of trapping the dust our of the air.
Have you cleaned (or when was the last time you replaced?) filters, and checked gaskets?

The other possibility-- might be a chipped or broken part, near one of the gasket-- so the seal has been weakened?

Check it out further, and get back with us-
We want to help-- but we need more clues.

Why did the brushes stop rotating?

Please check two things:
(1) The shutoff switch on the hood is NOT set to OFF for brush speed.
(2) Remove the red filter panel from under the cleaner, behind the brushes, and clean the hair/debris from the screen filter. Squeeze the two panels together, and pull down to remove from the pocket.

I have a Sebo X4 vacuum cleaner which has lost suction and is displaying the red bag clogged light. There is no apparent blockage in the pipework from brush to bag Any clues as to reasons/solutions?

There could be a few reasons:
Check that the main filters are completely clean - open the door to see if there is any dirt on the main slide out roll filter and also the main exhaust filter on top of the hood of the X4 (by pushing the handle all the way down to the floor as if the X4 is flat floor cleaning) The exhaust filter has to be replaced if its completely black in colour and can't be washed.
Failing that, check the main inspection blockage door on the underside of the floor head. Inspect it with a torch - even though it may feel like there is nothing there by putting your fingers into the trapdoor, debris like stiff cardboard can often block the main dust channel entrance from the brush to the main hose. Also take off the hose and extend it fully to see if anything is clogged.

Bissell 6390 / 3910 series extremely loud

Check the hose and also the dirt inlet by the brush roll to see if you have a blockage. Check the brush roll, make sure the ends turn freely and have not melted. Motor has gone bad.

Carpet cleaner not doing too well

there is a dial on the side of the housing move this to tools this diverts the suction from the floor nozzle to the hose,. .
the brush only rotates slowly.
If this dose not work check red lint filter, .this is in the back corner of the tank lid ,
On the turbo brush there is a sliding swicth ,this diverts the suction from the nozzle of the attachment to the attachments brush
