How do the memory keys work?

Memory keys normally work by adding and subtracting values to them. It looks like you have two memories available, memory I and memory II. (M- I M- II M+ I M+ II) You recall these values with the MR(C) keys to use them in other calculations. Finally, you can clear the memory using the MC keys. Sometimes there is not a MC key. In this case, the easiest way to clear the memory is to recall the memory, multiply it by -1, and add it to the memory. This should set it back to zero.

As an example, if we enter 5 M+ I, 10 M+ I, and then hit MR-I, we should get the answer of 15. If we then enter 13 M- I, and hit MR-I, we should now get an answer of 2. Now if we hit MC - I and then MR - I, we should get the answer of 0.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck,

Paul

Memory Seat System Components
The memory seat system consists of the following components:
• Power Seat Switch
• Seat Horizontal Motor
• Seat Front Vertical Motor
• Seat Rear Vertical Motor
• Seat Recliner Motor
• Driver Seat Module
• Memory Seat Switch

It's not the module , probably sensor supplying bad info to the module.

Memory Set/Recall Operation
The driver seat adjuster motors are equipped with potentiometer type position sensors used by the driver seat module to determine the seat position. The position sensors are supplied with 5-volt reference and ground circuits from the driver seat module. The position sensor signal circuits are referenced from ground within the driver seat module. The signal circuit voltage levels monitored by the driver seat module range from 0.39 - 4.58 volts and are determined by the wiper locations on the resistors within the motor position sensors. The position sensor circuit voltage levels are used by the driver seat module to determine the seat position when storing or recalling memory position settings.
The memory recall switch assembly on the driver's door provides inputs to the driver door module. Battery voltage is supplied to the memory recall switch assembly from the driver door module. When a memory recall 1, 2, or EXIT switch is pressed, the switch contacts close the appropriate switch signal circuit to the battery voltage supply circuit within the memory recall switch assembly. When the driver door module receives active switch signals from the memory recall switch assembly, the appropriate commands are sent to the driver seat module using the Class 2 Serial Data circuit.
Memory seat recall operation is allowed only with the transmission selector lever in the PARK position while the ignition is on. The transmission selector lever position data is provided to the driver seat module by a message through the Class 2 Serial Data circuit.

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop and have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes .
Install a scan tool.
Observe the switch parameter for which the DTC has set in the seat module Inputs/Outputs data list.
Does the scan tool display Inactive?
DTC B1735, B1740, B1745, B1750, B1755, B1760, B1815, or B1820
DTC B1825, B1850, B1860, B2355, B2365, or B2375

What does MC, MR, & MS mean?

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. Heres the meaning that you're looking for.

MC - Memory Clear. this clears all contents of the memory
MR - Memory Recall. This displays the current content in the memory
MS - Memory Save. This saves the current display to memory.
M+ - Memory Add. This adds the current figure to the value already present in memory.

Thanks for using Fixya.

How do i put number into memory and then recall it with casio fx-11es calculator

To store a number into memory, press SHIFT [STO] and the name of the desired memory register. To recall a number from memory, press RCL and the name of the memory register.

Available memory registers are A, B, C, D, X, Y, and M. Those are on the fourth and fifth rows of the keyboard (the two rows immediately above the 7, 8, 9, DEL, AC row). You don't need to press SHIFT or ALPHA to access these names after the STO or RCL.

How do you enter your variable?

The memory locations A,B,C,D,X,Y and M are available to store values in them. M is the constant memory.
To type the name of, say, variable X, you press the ALPHA key then the the key next to which is the X in cyan/Green color. If I remember correctly it is the key marked with a parenthesis ).

However to store a value in a memory location or to recall a stored value you use the STO key to store and the RCL key to recall. To store or recall there is no need to press the ALPHA key.

What does MC,MR,M-,M+ on the calculator mean and do?

Hi,

MR is Memory Recall
MC is Memory Clear
M+ is Memory add
M- is Memory subtract

These are used to add and subtract the answers to multi-step equations so you can do the small steps with the calculator, then store, change or recall the total as needed. You might add a long string of numbers in groups this way. Or you can do all operations in one parenthesis, then just store the total of each.

A good problem to illustrate this would be : (123 x 3) + (55 - 24) + (10^2) - (7 x 8) = ???
Using MR, M+ and M-, you can do each one as a group, and only store the answers. 123 x 3 = 369 so M+ to put 369 in memory. Clear it from the calculator. 55 - 24 = 31, so M+ to put this in memory and add to the 369 already there. Clear it from the calculator. 10^2 = 100, so M+ this to memory also to add it. Clear it from the calculator. 7 x 8 = 56 so M- this to SUBTRACT it from memory. Clear it from the calculator if desired. Now, when you then hit MR, you will get the total of all of these small equations in parenthesis -- 444.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Memory and memory recal

The STO> button just above the on/off button is your memory store initializer.
example: 2x + 53 STO> y
stores "2x + 53" in a variable named "y".
To recall, just hit y and enter. In fact, if you type an equation like 3y^2 - 4y it will insert the data in for every "y" and give you:
(2x + 53)(6x + 155) as an answer.
To clear the memory:
DelVar y or F6 (2nd+F1) and clear all w/ single character names.
To recall a prevous answer, 2nd+(-) or type ans(1) for the last answer. You can also type ans(2) for the 2nd to last answer & so on.

when you press the keypad the calculator scanline translate and encode this function to digital formula(1&0)which the brain can understand(microprocessor)and this digital formula stored in a store called register which can easily called out to go to display where you can see it.
