Robert,
According to Sears parts direct website, most parts are no longer available for your grinder. I would suggest taking them to a local bearing supply house, if you have one, and let them match it up.

The bearing on the armature of my Bosch 4000 table saw fell apart and now only the inner part of the bearing is on the armature. How can we remove this?

you will need a knife edge bearing puller available from an auto parts shop or a good tool shop
it will be a small puller that comes in to sections which are bolted together under the inner race of the bearing ( bit still in the shaft) and that section is attached to a bar with a screw through it that then pull the inner race off the shaft
or if you are very careful , you can use a 4" angle grinder with a 1mm cutting blade and cut across the bit at an angle NOT IN LINE WITH THE SHAFT -as that will give the blade clearance to the windings -- so that the blade is clear of the windings
cut down about 1/2 way then using a steel solid support under the bearing race , place a sharp cold chisel in the cut and using a ball pein hammer hit the chisel into the cut
that will crack the rest of the race and you can then get it off with your fingers
NOTE---IF YOU USE THE GRINDER AND YOU TOUCH THE WIRES WITH THE BLADE IT IS A NEW ARMATURE AS WELL AS BEARINGS SO BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS METHOD

How do I remove the bearing from the drive end of the armature from an AEG WSE802 Angle Grinder?

Dear Michael,

Here offered is a video by Taimo T that offers the entire process. Close attention is needed to absorb his procedure. The foundation is the basis for angle electric grinders.
Angle Grinder And Its Bearings
Please watch the entire presentation.

A small bearing puller works best. Here is examples of one to buy or borrow.

A
ATD Tools 3056 Bar Type Puller Bearing Separator Set in Molded Storage and....
B
Pump Pulley Remover Straight Type Two Claws Bearing Puller
Hand Tool

C
Wilmar W137P 6 3 Jaw Gear Puller
D
Neiko 19 Piece Automotive Bushing Bearing Driver Tool Set

The alternative is to squeeze the old bearing in a vice with soft jaws . Then move the end shaft with a brass hammer or punch to remove with an internal fit.

Fare. Well.

If the grinder does not run when turned on, make sure power is on to the outlet, then check the electrical cord.
If the grinder runs intermittently or doesn't stop, the switch may be clogged or damaged. Unplug the grinder and brush any grounds from the switch with a fine brush. Depress the switch several times with a toothpick. If the problem persists, disassemble the grinder to clean it and inspect the switch for breaks that you can fix.
If the grinder does not run, the motor shaft may be frozen. Disassemble the grinder, clean the shaft and lubricate each bearing point with one or two drops of lightweight machine oil. Rotate the shaft to evenly distribute the oil.
coffeegrinder1_1.jpgMost coffee grinders are accessed by removing fasteners on the base of the device. If the grinder still does not operate, the thermal limiter may be burned out. If you can't readily find a replacement thermal limiter, it may be more cost effective to replace the grinder.
If the grinder vibrates, the blade may be bent. Inspect the blade and replace if it is damaged or dull. Another cause of vibration could be a worn motor bearing. Unplug the grinder and remove the access plate. The bearing is bad if the motor shaft moves when pushed back and forth; replace the grinder.

Both wheels have a noticeable wobble. Can this be corrected?

Yes, the wobble can be fixed. First, remove both wheels and check the shaft bearings/bushings for wear. Make certain the grinder is unplugged and mounted securely. Try moving the shafts up, down side to side; there should be little or no noticeable movement. If there is movement it is a major(time and money) problem. I'm not familiar with what the shafts ride on. It could be, ball bearings(the best-long lasting, least friction, most accurate, but expensive), sealed bearings(almost as good as ball bearings, with many of the same attributes) and bushings(least expensive to produce and fit and cause the most friction. If excessive up,down side to side movement is present a decision must be made as to how much money/time you want to invest. If the shaft exhibit little movement; check if the shaft is running true/straight. Turn the grinder by hand while observing the shaft for bends. If none are seen by eye use a magnetic base micrometer to check run out(deviation from straight). If a micrometer isn't available; bend a short length of wire(coat hanger works nicely) with a small hook on one end and then put a pointer end on the other. Put a screw thought the end with the hook to mount it to the base of the grinder. Then bend the pointed end so it just touches the shaft. Rotate the shaft and notice if the distance changes between the point of the wire and the grinder shaft. Repeat for the other side. A couple of thousands won't hurt. However, any more and the cost effectiveness of tearing the grinder apart straightening the shaft must be considered. The most common cause of grinding wheel wobble is the wheels becoming out of true and/or unbalanced. This is easily cured with a wheel dressiing tool. The tool grinds the wheels in place. By gringing the wheels on the grinder they balance the wheel, true the wheel to the shaft and clean it of imbeded soft materials, aluminum, wood and so forth.

Turns slow

Lubricate the bearings. The lube has probably hardened. The shaft should turn freely. You can clean the bearings using CRC226 available at Home Depot elec dept.

If the unit has ball bearings they may need to be replaced.

Ineed the replaement bearing numbe for Abamaster meat grinder 1 hp 110v Model #FGS12. Thanks, Peter.

If it is a ball bearing, there will be industry standard numbers on the old one. If you take it to a bearing supplier, they can also measure and match to a replacement.

Find a local bearing supply house, or if you can find the number on the old bearing, buy one online.
