SOURCE: Dirt Devil Reaction Vacuum belt replacement

The manual is confusing - I had the same problem. Make sure you put the belt around the smaller motor axle, not the lever arm attached to the on/off foot switch. It's a bit counter-intuitive, but that was my problem with this. Jeff

SOURCE: how to put the belt on the deit devil breeze

Here is a detailed discription on how to change your belt. Turn the machine compleatly upside down and place head on a flat surface. There are 4 screws to take out, then remove the base plate. Near the back of the channel the belt rides in you will see a stright silver shaft. Place the new belt over that shaft. The put the brush roller through the belt, so the belt is in the notched out section of the brush roller. Grab both ends of the brush roller and pull till the brush roller is back in it's origial spot on the base of the vacuum. Turn the brush roller 3 compleat turns backwards, then do the same forward to seat the belt. Put back on the base plate and put back the 4 screws. You are now ready to vacuum.

Why does the belt keeps comming off

Hello! If your belt keeps coming off, this usually means the belt is stretched and needs to be replaced. The Dirt Devil Breeze takes a Dirt Devil style 4 belt. Follow the link below to purchase the replacement belt. Hope this helps!

Why is the new belt on my dirt devil featherlite repeatedly slipping off? Everything else on it works fine and the b elt is the correct size.

Hello! There is no other part that goes on the motor shaft after the belt is put on. The tension of the belt keeps the belt from slipping off. If you have a brand new belt that keeps slipping off you may not have the correct belt for the vacuum. Be sure you replace with a genuine Dirt Devil belt and the specified belt style for your particular unit. Hope this helps! I dont have a manual for the dirt devil vibe bagless cleaner. It's depositing dirt instead of picking it up. Is there a belt? i don't see one and maybe that's why

Information on your Dirt Devil Vibe Bagless Quick Vac M084500V can be found here:

http://www.dirtdevil.com/products/details.aspx?id=M084500V#parts

A link is available to download the manual as well as for replacement parts.

Yes this model has a belt to run the power brush; the manual has replacement instructions.

If dirst is being left behind it could also be a problem with a blockage, overfilled dirt cotnainer, or problem with the filter.

Four screws hold the bottom plate in place. Turn the vac upside down and remove the screws that hold the cover(bottom plate) over the brush roll in place. Remove the plate and you are there.
