Dell 1737 win 7 do not shutdown

I assume the system is an old model and the essential drivers you have'nt got from Dell website to upgrade it to W7 64Bit. 'Dig' on internet ( too much time wasting but you have a lot). A modified BIOS for W7 may be available. But remember, playing with BIOS is somewhat risky.
Note':If there is a will, there is a way' If you don't mind the cost of an old Dell 1737.
Best wishes.

Asus will not turn off after shutdown

All these things point to the bios. You need to go to the Asus site for that motherboard and download an upgraded bios. There will be directions there on how to update your bios, probably both from Windows and from the system prompt.

Windows shutdown and won't start again

If the system doesn't start even enough to access the BIOS then it's a hardware fault, take it to a shop.
If you can access the BIOS then change the boot order and boot from a Linux Live-CD like  , recover all your files and reinstall. Once the reinstall is over check the hard disk using HDTune.

Toshiba Satellite A45-S130 boot failure

* If it's a BIOS problem, try this :

1. Shutdown ur system, and remove the BIOS battery.
2. Reinstall it and start again.
3. You can also replace the battery. (if above steps don't works!)
4. Try to get a updated version of BIOS driver. (if above steps don't works!)

* If u r also hearing any kind of beep sounds, it may be bad RAM (memory). Try this :

1. Shutdown ur system, and remove the RAM.
2. Reinstall it and start again.

tell me if these steps don't work! :)

I updated BIOs and now every thing is gone.

Okay, sounds like your BIOS upgrade went south. First off, re-install the original BIOS. Usually you back up the original before upgrading. Either that, or d/l the original BIOS from Once you've got the BIOS working, try starting the system. I'll need to know more to help you from there.

Biostar P4M900-M7 SE BIOS ROM Checksum Error

The bios upgrade procedure stopped at half , leaving the bios corrupted. The computer now cannot do a regular boot procedure, this is the reason why it cannot recognise some device. If you are still able to boot from floppy, you can restart bios upgrade procedure from floppy. Just download floppy version upgrade and re do setup. Even if you do not find latest bios version, just download a floppy upgrade that is working, so that you can restart your machine regularly , and then do the update to latest version.
If you are not able to complete the bios setup, the only way to fix your motherboard will be flashing the CMOS chipset with a chip programmer device that will reinstall bios straight into cmos chipset.
You can have this done at the service point, in this case consider also replacing your motherboard.

K7S8X's BIOS P2.30 doesnt start...

This is not a fault..What actually happened was the same BIOS was backed up on both of the jumpers..This could happen while upgrading after installing a new graphics card..So its not a problem..You will just need to flash the BIOS..You can find it on your motherboard's support site or let me know and i will get you a link..Also if you need any help flashing it feel free to report back.
