Question about Kenmore Microwave Ovens
It has never been used very much during this time. This week it worked fine, but did not melt butter as if it had no heat. When I tried again, it made a loud noise and shut off, which flipped the circuit breaker. This is my second Kenmore over the range microwave to have done this in the last 3 years.
Microwave should have an expected life-ftime between 5 - 10 years, depending the use.
I'm not a microwave tech so can't tell you the problem but according to your description it is not somethig a user could repair. Microwave circuits are dangerous.
If you appreciated that it was not working before the Big Bag, it might be the magnetron.
You should take it to a repair service and according to estimated cost to repair it, if it's actually possible, consider if it's worth.
Finally, I WOULDN'T BUY this brand again.

A loud noise could have been the high voltage diode going out. This may pop the breaker.
