Question about Stoves 1200DFa Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

1 Answer

I have noticed a trickle leak from one of the small gas burners.

I have removed the gas ring and put some washing up liquid directly onto the gas nozzle and with the knob controlling that burner fully turned off there is some slow bubbling from the nozzle - is this easily fixable?

You smell gas after it is turned off. you do not smell gas if valve is off. The burners work but when turned off you can smell a hint of gas.

Hi, you have a leak some where an old trick of finding gas leaks was to use washing up liquid diluted if its possible in this case and when the washing liquid finds the leak it produces a soapy bubbles where the leak is .

Leaks water out of bottom

If it is a small leak and you are not using the timer put all the dry ingredients in first and push the "start" button. Have your liquid ready and slowly trickle it in so that the dough slowly forms. That way you won'f have a lot of liquid passing through. Once all the liquid is in the pan, just close the lid and you should be OK from there on. This will at least work until you can buy a new machine or get a new pan assembly.

You should have a little divider in the soap drawer , it needs to be moved into a different position for liquid ( holds the liquid until the cycle begins)

I have noticed a gas odor. It seems to be coming from the backburner controller area. Both burners do work. How do I determine the source of the leak and get a breakdown of parts. Any help appreciated

Do you only notice the smell while you're grilling? Or when you turn the tank On to start grilling?

Either way, it may be the gas line connection from the tank to the grill. First, start by applying a soapy mixture to the connection wile the tank is turned On, but the grill burners are not lit. Watch for small air bubbles, that might not occur immediately. So watch closely. If you don't see a leak there, move on to the back burner control area, where the gas tubing connects .the rear burner ( I assume this is an infrared rotisserie burner) . Soap that connection and again watch for small air bubbles. In the case of the rear burner, you will have to turn the gas on to it, but don't light it.

Any where you find a leak at a connection, loosen it and carefully and re-tighten it, with an appropriately sized open in wrench. Be careful not to cross thread any connections.

Doing everything listed above, may keep you from having to replace parts. If you find you will have to replace parts, you can order them directly from Weber, from their website home page. Be sure you have your model number and serial number handy, when you do this.

Good luck and Happy Grilling!

We smell a stronge oder of gas while heating the oven. Also, it is taking along time to heat-up.

Check for leaks on pipes and fittings. Mix a small amount of washing up liquid and water make sure it is nice and frothy , put around 1 joint at a time (do not light any burners), if bubbles start to blow then this is where your leak is, but still check all remaining joints.

Detergent left in blobs or powder on clothes

For low water volume - or "Trickling" effect...

1. Turn off the water supply to both hoses.
2. Remove hoses (one at a time so you don't get them confused)
3. On the washer side - look for a removeable screen inside wher you just removed the hose.
4. Using a small screwdriver - pop out the screen and reverse-flush it/clean it. It will likely be full of sediment and calcium deposits from your pipes.
5. Replace the inlet screens.
6. Re-fit the hose to the machine.
7. Turn on water supply valves.
8. re-try.

Need to know where to put washing liquid in my Miele G646 SC

Hi most washing liquids go direct inside the machine with your washing, if your using liquid there should be a small liquid device with the bottle that you also use to measure the amount of liquid and place direct into the machine drum.

Fitting door seal

this is general for fittying door boots.

on cabinet, door boot is usuallyn held by a wire ring tensioned by a small spring. prise it out with a screwdriver.

on tub, door boot is held usually by a giant hose clip for want of a better description. unscrew the tensioning screw and remove.

door boot will then pull off - just pull it off in one place then go round the circle.

to refit.

lubricate the groove in the door boot that fits on the tub with washing up liquid. insert groove on tub at any convenient place and force into position by running thumbs round it in opposite directions. this is a knack i have to say.

when on, replace the giant hose clip and tighten.

slip the outer part of the door boot on the cabinet - this is usually easy. replace the holding clip.

put onto rinse cycle to test for leaks

good luck

Replace dcs gas cooktop re-ignition module

donho1,

most likely the problem is the switch places onto the shaft of the valve. to replace the switch, you would need to remove the burner cap and port rings. you will see a large brass nut that needs to be removed on all 4 or 5 burners. next you would need to remove the nut in the center of the simmer port ring which is also the venturi for the main burner. you must be careful when removing this nut as they have a tendancy to lock onto the jet holder and could be hard to remove (don't strip or break the venturi or holder).....after you remove those nuts, the burners and top can be removed (watch the igniter wires). you can remove the switch by removing the retainer clip that holds the switch onto the valvestem.
