If you've tried different heads with the same result, the most likely problem is a blown speaker. Check it with an ohm meter, and if it's blown, you can either replace it or get it re-coned.

No sound coming out for my hartke amps?

Are the internal speakers properly connected via the rear-mounted 1/4 inch "Speaker Output" jack? If so and still no sound, try connecting a separate external speaker (floor monitor, pa cabinet) for a "low volume" test.

The OM says the internal speakers are 4 ohm so it's unlikely that a wiring problem with speaker connections would cause all four to stop working. With AC power disconnected from outlet check for an internal speaker protection fuse BUT be careful. Charged capacitors can hold a charge for weeks!!!

115XL has a buzzing sound after 3 months of ownership. cones look OK and no seperation from dust cover on speaker.

If you can find an audio source that you can sweep upward in frequency slowly you will prbably find something is resonating... I even had one that the logo they had attached to the grill was vibrating.

My Hartke A100 has a problem, no power, the problem is transformer. what is the exact volt of transformer A100 hartke? than you

Transformers don't often fail. I have heard that some of these have a thermal fuse in them and they sometimes open. If you can get to the fuse in the windings, you can replace it and save the transformer. The fuses look like a silver tube about 5/8 inch long and 3/16 inch diameter with a lead out each end, They are marked with the temp they open and are a one-shot thing that have to be replaced.

This problem has to do with a Hartke 3500 bass amp. I recently purchased a replacement UCISC (the part with the female plug and fuse box) and replaced it. I tried to be very careful putting all of the...

Easiest way to check is to measure the resistance between the ground pin of your cord and the chasis of the unit. It should be very low. That is the only critical one... Look at a receptacle. See one bllade is wide? That is the neutral. The other one is the HOT side. The HOT SIDE should go to either the fuse or the switch first in your unit. If you have those right the third wire will be right.
When powering up an amp there often is a noise until the amplifiers balance out. Very high quality and high power amps have a relay that disconnects the speaker until balance is reached... but the smaller amps do noot have this feature.

Hi! my hartke b200 makes some nois while i turn the volume knob, when i stop turning the knob the nois stops. thank you Bruno

The pot is dirty. Get a can of CRC226 and with the spout squirt a little through the slot where the leads go into the pot. Get the CRC226 at Home Depot in the electrical dept. Use only this product. Do NOT use a contact cleaner as it will destroy the resistance element in the pot. The leads probably go up through the circuit board and you may want to bend the plastic spout of the can of CRC226 at an angle or as needed to get into the slot where the leads go in. It will take one quick squirt to do the job. DO the rest of the pots while you are at it.

Looking to buy used bass 3500 hartke, the guy said he hooked up a cd player to it now it doesnt turn on???possibly a power transformer he said??any ideas??thank you

Connecting the CD player should NOT have caused any damage if they were power from the same receptacle and both had grounded plugs OR a walkman type was used which had no external power to it. Power transformers RARELY fail. Check if it has a fuse that has blown BUT do not replace the fuse until the cause of it blowing is found. Switches on a lot of these are POOR and they do fail.

Hartke Ha2500 250watt Bass Amplifier Head sound cuts off(not turns off)after a little while comes back on

This sounds like the thermal protection is activating. Make sure the vents and heatsinks have FREE AIRFLOW. If the sound cycles on and off, it could be a failure of the heater in the one vacuum tube in the unit. The heater could cooll and reconnect and then heat and disconnect.
