Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera
I have had my Sony Cybershot DSC-W50 for 1 year. I dropped about 2 weeks ago, but it was on the grass, and only about 3 feet... however the lens was out at the time. It took a few pictures after that, but they seemed a bit fuzzy. After that, the manual zoom would not work, and when I try and use it the screen goes black and says "Turn power off and on again". Then it wouldn't even turn on. I was able to reset in manually, so now it will turn on and take pictures with no zoom, but if I try and use the zoom the error message comes up. I would take it to where I bought it, but I am currently travelling in Nepal... I will be in Bangkok in a few days however, perhaps there are some Sony authorized repair places there?? Thanx for your help.
Most likely the motor mecanisim was damaged when you dropped it. was unable to locate a sony dealer in nepal, You could try Sears if there is one in nepal.
Hope that was helpful.
