Question about Shimano Cycling
My bike is a 15 speed Hybrid& the derailleur the bike mechanic put on tonight doesn't seem to change gears well when I am on the big gear in the front & want to shift upwards on the back
It looks like you have had a 6/7 speed rear mech fitted.
Unfortunately this number of gears is only replaceable by another 5 speed rear derailleur, and Shimano only has two, the RD-TY15SS, and RD-TY15GS.

If you don't use these, you are bound to have shifting problems due to the more narrow space difference between cogs on a six speed freewheel/sprocket.

This may be to do with the replacement having a shorter cage, so it can't go on the big sprocket and big chain ring at the same time.
Try to not use the big rear sproket and the the big front chaining at at the same time,
