My QL60 just stopped sucking. The motor and fan run fine.

If the fan is running there has to be suction. If there is none it is because the air in entering via some other port and bypassing the normal intake. Check it out. Check hoses and fittings.

The cleaner sucks very poorly. The motor sounds fine, it blows well and there is no obstruction.

If it blows, then it should suck equally unless there is leakage on the intake (suck) side meaning something inside disconnected or cracked, letting air in from other directions. I do not know the vacuum you speak of; upright (which has a short hose often clogged by itself) or canister which might also have a leaky seal at the bag door.

My vax power 8, 2200 watts 300 air watts 4L capacity upright Hoover is brand new, I emptied out the dust/dirt collecter and cleaned the motor filter yesterday for the first time, i switched it on and all...

I had the same problem. It looks like the seal on the lid on the bottom of the cylinder has fallen out when it was emptied. There is no longer a proper vacuum being created so you don't get the cyclone effect and the dirt doesn't collect where its supposed to. it just clogs up the filter. I put sellotape to seal the lid and it works fine.

Oreck vacuum won

Sounds like the motor, fan chamber and the end cover for the fan chamber is not all of the way in place. They have to be on right on top of the scew posts.

My dirt devil vacuum won't suck up anything and its brand new!!

Take the vac bag off and turn on the vac , it should blow air out, if not unclogg the hose where the bag connects, also when you check the roller and belt, unclog the flex hose(located inside base near roller assembly) that sucks up the dirt. As long as the motor works fine the rest is just maint.
