Hi, what kind of camera do you have? Please post any available camera info that you have.
Is your battery charged up?
Do you have an empty SD card that properly works inserted into the camera?

Panasonic dvx1000a has no audio input, for xlr connector, the switch line mic is in mic pos. and the external mic not work in that camera.

You have to switch the CH1 and CH2 switches inside the lcd display to input 1 or input 2 to control the xlr inputs. If these switches are in int (L) and int(R) position, then you are adjusting the audio on the CH1 ad CH2 dials below the lcd viewer on the outside of the lcd for the on camera mic. Only use line setting on the front of the camera when you are receiving an audio feed at line level from an audio board. If you set the camera to mic setting, and you are receiving a line level audio signal, you will blow out the audio 0 way too loud, if you are receiving a mic signal and your switch is set to line, you will not be able to hear the mic with the audio Ch1 and ch2 all the way up.

RTH230B thermostat not working - nothing's happening

The 2nd combination is correct (w/ jumper). Wire nut or tape the blue wire. The snow flake shows it's going into cooling mode after a 5 min delay. If the AC is not coming on then the problem may not be the thermostat. If you don't have 24VAC between the red wire and the blue one the problem is at the furnace or it's supply. If you do, then check for 24VAC between the blue wire and Y on the thermostat(after the 5min delay) - if it's there the thermostat is calling for cooling. To check the heat, switch the thermostat to heat mode and use the W(instead of Y) on the thermostat(after the flame stops flashing).

MY JOB DEPENDS ON THIS!!! SONY DSR PD 170 AUDIO PROBLEMS!

if you use original mic(boom mic), rec ch select (ch1.ch2 and ch1) if you choose ch1 it means only 1 channel you want to rec, ch1.ch2 means you select 1 in for ch1 and ch2.input level depend the volume of your input for original mic use mic if the sound around not loud, use mic att if the sound around to loud. +48v for mic original use on, if you use off mic don't work, for input 2 same with input 1.if the original mic don't work try to push the reset button. if don't work, i found that some cam, have bad contac inside the switches

Active shield

If this is boot up time you need to go to Start / run type in msconfig enter
Go to startup and untick all except for antivirus and firewall and reboot
When you install some programs they put automatically start in and you have to stop them auto starting
this should decrease startup times

Another question for zzedly about the speakers cutting out

So, as I see it, your system is hooked up like so:
  • Ch1 = Left speakers, front and back
  • Ch2 = Right speakers, front and back
  • Ch3 = One sub
  • Ch4 = Other sub
One thing you can try is swapping channels. Swap Ch1 with Ch3 and Ch2 with Ch4. Then see if the issue still occurs on the door speakers or do the subs suddenly cut out at loud volume. If the subs start cutting out, that means the issue is with Ch1 and Ch2. If you haven't already, check the RCA connections to Ch1 and Ch2 as well as the gain for all channels. If the gain isn't already set to about 50%, put it there.

Channel Two Input silent

Not sure of particular model, but if it's like z1 then it's convoluted and non-intuitive.
But here goes.. if i can remember.
Go into menu, then audio
check that the channels aren't linked
if set to manual check manual adjustment wheels
The z1 doesn't seem to allow on board mic and xlrs, so check that
Does mic need phantom power?
Is XLR input set to mic?
Sorry i can't be more model specific... but hopefully something of this will be helpfull.. the main thing to check tho is that the xlrs aren't linked
