It sound like the antenna behind the plastic plate may be warped and touching the cavity. From my experience when they start shooting sparks it is time for a new microwave.

No power lights no power in microwave

First check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse.
Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.
remember use VOM. God bless you

Whirlpool model SF3020EKQ3 was converted to LP oven lights nice blue flame but flame is very small oven does not get hot enough

HI,
If your able to adjust the orifice hood to the oven, then turn it counterclockwise unit the burner is full and minimal yellow flickering is present. If you go too much, this can be deadly can cause carbon monoxide to admit into the kitchen during use. I have found adjusting while the burner is on is the easiest way to make sure it is correct, use caution....
I hope this helps

Will not heat

Your best solution for this problem would be to purchase a new microwave, unless it is on warranty then by all means contact the manufacturer and have it repaired.

The reasons you should simply by a new microwave are as follows:

-Trying to fix the microwave yourself would be a very time consuming project and there owuld be no way to garuantee the problem would be resolved, this could also result in leakage of radiation from the unit.

-The cost to have someone repair it would probably cost the same if not more than it would to simply purchase a new microwave.

-you can destroy your current microwave after you buy a new one, I'm sure all the brief it has cause you has led to certain points of anger, those of which you could use to get back at it, some possible examples of this:

running it over with your car

blowing it up with explosives

shooting at it

good ol' beating with a bat/stick/club

throwing it off the roof of your house

Do you know what the average electric cooktop lifespan is? We have a Kenmore that is 9 years old and working fine. However, we are in the midst of a renovation and are wondering if it wouldn't be wise to...

The life span of the range depends on it's use or abuse.... Common issues are burners and the connections that the burner plugs into. These are not hard to change out.... There is nothing that can make the stove useless, if you keep after it. Newer units do a better job of retaining the heat within the unit, oven wise....Which is nice.

A gas range is certainly nicer, so they say. It is faster, but has one odd issue: if you boil water over, you can put out the flame and have raw gas running in. Most work this way, expensive units have thermal sensors that would turn off the gas flow in flame out condition....

My wife loves her gas range....

Whirlpool microwave oven mh7155xmb0 not venting

Possibly a bird built a nest (swallows) in or on the roof vent. Make sure the fan turns freely when off. Check the vent tube that goes up to the roof--if flex-tubing, it may have collapsed and pinched off the air flow (it may be too long). Make sure that a one-way valve which should be near the exit of the hood is free to move when air flow pushes on it. This valve is supposed to prevent back-flow of air into the house. Hope this helps!

Microwave burst into flames

That panel is called the waveguide cover. Its purpose is to protect the wavegudie and the magnetron from grease and food particles. When grease and/or food particles build up, they arc and spark. If it is not too damaged, it can be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled. You should also clean just inside the opening (waveguide) with a damp cloth, but be careful of the sharp edges. If it is too damaged, it will need to be replaced or the magnetron will eventually be damaged. If you can't get parts for this brand you can cut a new one out of waveguide material. I would take the old cover to an appliance parts store in your area. Once it is done, be sure to keep the cover clean. A sample photo of a waveguide cover is attached.
