Hi Angie Travis,

You may contact the Dell technical support on 18006469896 (U.S only) and prove ownership. They can check and see how they can help you.
Note: Please refrain from putting the system service tag in a public forum.

Thanks and Regards.

Since you did not include the model number for your laptop, here are two sources found by google searching 'remove bios password dell inspiron laptop' :www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnzFGXgJpLQ
www.youtube.com/watch?v=FquvIj2DH9Q

What is important here is that you need to search using the complete manufacturer make and model number. Your service tag number (what you call a serial number) is of no use.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

somebody set a BIOS password on your computer and there is no way to bypass it, if it is your computer and you are registered with Dell (assuming this is a Dell) then tech support can override this and reset the password, but they to a ton of account and security verification to determine that it's your laptop before they do this, and only a Dell supervisor can do it, not any of the phone techs.

Inspirion E1405 boots to blank screen. Trying to

If it's a BIOS password, you need to remove the battery from the motherboard to reset it. If it's a Windows password, you need this CD to reset it: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/change-your-forgotten-windows-password-with-the-linux-system-rescue-cd/

Locked out by password on dell inspirion 1525 how do i re install vista

If you have the vista disk, then just put it into the drive, and reboot. You may need to change bios boot order, which can be done by pressing f8 as the computer starts up, and selecting the dvd drive. If this does not work, then please refer to your user manual for the correct key to press. If you can boot, then the installation is self explanatory. Give it you country and keyboard layout, and then when the screen shows "install vista" button, undeneath it is a repair vista button link. Click this, and select your existing installation. From there it may ask you about "system restore" press cancel, and then hopefully, it will restore.  Hope this helps.
