How do I do a passcode reset on my Kenwood kvt 910dvd deck?

Put this deck in my 1991 300ce in 2002. Car garaged for several years needing repair and I've forgotten my passcode. Called Kenwood, they told me maybe authorized dealer could help. Called Best Buy they said call Kenwood. Is there a way... tried many internet solutions. No help...any idea

Deck was brand new when it was installed in 2002. Emanuel..I took your advice and pit in 55222277 with the remote, not good. The deck cycled and shut off. I turned it back in and put the screen back in. Tried to start over but to my surprise the screen would not come back out. I hit the reset button to try and start over and nothing, it just keeps cutting off. Prior to posting on this site I did call Kenwood, they told me to go to an authorized dealer, I went to two they told me about here in St. Paul Mn. Mach 1 and best buy, they both told me to call Kenwood. Oh boy...any suggestions...

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: passcode

You might have bought a stolen one. I was installing a sub in my car and unplugged mine and it required a pass code, which i forgot for a while, but luckily remembered. I called about getting it reset and they said I had to bring it in to a official Kenwood ceter in order to get it reset. I would just suggest to call Kenwood. Also, i'm currently looking for a new one because mine was stolen again, so hopefully the person who stole it is having a problem installing it in there car. good luck.
